Euromaidan Press (Twitter) A groundbreaking electronic warfare backpack, developed by the 🇺🇦Ukrainian company Kvertus, shields Ukrainian soldiers from Russian drones at a cost of just $7,000. Operating in the 720-1050 MHz range, it jams and disables threatening UAVs. Rather than individual use, the backpack protects small units of 8-10 soldiers on the move. One operator activates the system's protective dome spanning several hundred meters upon detecting a Russian drone. The rechargeable battery allows 2 hours of continuous electronic jamming. Designed for maximum portability, the system fits inside a standard backpack worn on the operator's back. Only low-profile antennas protrude, avoiding obstruction during maneuvers. Built-in ventilation prevents overheating that could degrade performance.

Euromaidan Press (Twitter) Rostyslav Semkiw at #XLMF: why do Russian literature heroes pretend to be victims not aggressors & Russians today situate themselves as victims of Russian regime? @EwaThompson1v: Russian political system unlike European was based on Mongol system. Moscow was ruled by Mongols for 200 years. It created 3 society layers: 1) Tsar=dictator 2) Privileged but depend on tsar, who can take away their property 3) Slaves. 95% of society. Humble, poor, disadvanteged. Tradition of being poor & dependent on central power very strong in Russia & a reason why Russians look at themselves as "poor souls." Yet, these become the mass of the Russian army

The Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinfromation where she works came to understanding that just debunking is not enough and there are many other more efficient ways. One is ridiculing Russian absurd claims.

The EW backpack revolution: How Ukrainian portable tech jams Russian drones Euromaidan Press (RSS) The rise of FPV drones on the frontlines has revolutionized electronic warfare tactics, making the jamming of the drone-operator connection a crucial aspect of survival in modern combat. A key development is portable, personalized electronic warfare (EW) systems that troops can carry in vehicles or backpacks. Ukraine and Russia are engaged in a race to manufacture advanced EW capabilities while seeking vulnerabilities in each other’s systems, driving rapid innovation. Kvertus, a major Ukrainian EW manufacturer, reported supplying dozens of systems monthly in 2022, hundreds in 2023, and expects thousands in 2024, highlighting the exponential growth in demand. However, to build a competitive EW market, Ukraine must accelerate development efforts by investing in research and development, fostering collaboration between manufacturers and military experts, and streamlining production process...
