Hello KONPAY Community, KONET Mainnet transition has taken place, which is a critical step in upgrading an existing network to introduce new technologies and protocols. ✅ Facing Existing Limitations We have introduced the existing Proof of Authority (PoA) mechanism to verify transactions by a small number of trusted validators, focusing on scalability through fast transaction processing. Our key advantage lies in the "Network 0 fee" policy, which allowed us to expand the ecosystem and build substantial growth data. However, given the need for trust in validators and the reliance of network stability on validator integrity, facing the limitations of decentralization and security strength, the decision was made to upgrade to KONET Mainnet. ✅ Embracing Innovative Phases We are changing to the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. Efficiency is enhanced, allowing users to stake coins for block creation rights, reducing operating costs, and introducing upgraded features to enhance network performance and security. Additionally, by partially burning network fees, we will control token inflation and contribute to increasing scarcity. KONET has been upgraded to provide better rewards and benefits, as well as opportunities for network participants to contribute to the ecosystem and achieve better expansion. ✅ Network Fee Changes From now on, network fees will be incurred through KONPAY. Users will need to pay network fees when transactions occur, enabling safer and more efficient processing. This change to a network fee payment method aims to defend against random network attacks and strengthen network security. KONET issued on the KONET Network within the KONPAY App are scheduled for implementation during the third week of March. Following the update, a Network fee will be applied to withdrawals, and the amount of the Network fee can be confirmed when requesting a withdrawal after the app update. ✅ View detailed announcement
