Job Title: Laboratory Technologist Job Type: On-site - Permanent (Full-time) Job Sector: #Health_care Organization: Rheum Rheumatology and Internal Medicine Speciality Clinic Work Location: Kirkos tabot maderya,Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Experience Level: Intermediate Vacancies: 4 Applicants Needed: Male/Female Salary/Compensation: Monthly Deadline: 25/03/2024 Scope of role: The job holder will responsible to perform a wide range of procedures in all general areas of the laboratory including chemistry, immunology, serology, parasitology, and microbiology procedure…etc Top Roles and Responsibilities: • Provides clear instructions to patients for proper specimen collection. • Confirms appropriate samples are collected for the designated tests • Processes specimens by receiving, sorting, accessioning, and storing according to established procedures. • Ensures proper disposal of waste generated during specimen handling. • Performs a variety of laboratory tests for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures. • Prepares reagents accurately, minimizing waste, and considers cost-effectiveness in supply usage. • Verifies the accuracy and timeliness of patient reports produced within the laboratory. • Ensures all critical results are called and documented by workstations. • Participates in the inventory control program to maintain appropriate levels of supplies in the department. • Demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care • Works independently and collaboratively, actively seeking ways to improve laboratory efficiency. • Protects patient confidentiality by abiding by the clinic confidentiality statement. • Practices with kindness, ethics, and honesty, being always on time and physically available during all duty hours. • Ensures all documentation per laboratory standards is completed without exception. • Signs all results before dispatching and avoids signing totally erroneous results. • Informs physicians directly about any critical values and communicates clearly with patients. • Takes good care of laboratory equipment, performing daily maintenance, and attending all required training. • Be willing to take on more responsibility as the need arise; Qualifications and Experience Required: • BSC degree in in Medical Laboratory Technology or related fields with renewed professional license as a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist • Minimum 3 years relevant experience at known Clinics/Clinics.
