Investigator William Alden Elliott (United States Marshals Task Force/North Carolina Department of Adult Correction) assisted other law enforcement agents with serving a warrant on a subject wanted for possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony. As they attempted to serve the warrant the agents were met with heavy gunfire from a high powered rifle near a front yard. Investigator Elliott and several other officers/agents were struck by rounds as they returned fire. Investigator Elliott served with the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction for 14 years and was attached to the United States Marshals Task Force. He served for 14 years and leaves behind a wife and a child. Rest In Peace, Hero 💙🖤
