#idiom 🔰 a last-ditch effort ☑️ Meaning: a final effort; the last possible attempt. 🔷 I made one last-ditch effort to get her to stay. 🔷 It was a last-ditch effort. I didn’t expect it to work. 👊 @VIMRishtan

#Audiohikoya ♻️ Tinglang va so'zlarning talaffuziga e'tibor bering 🎧 The Princess and the Pea (audio & text) There was once a prince, and he wanted a princess, but then she must be a real Princess. He travelled right around the world to find one, but there was always something wrong. There were plenty of princesses, but whether they were real princesses he had great difficulty in discovering; there was always something that was not quite right about them. So at last he had come home again, and he was very sad because he wanted a real princess so badly. One evening there was a terrible storm; it thundered and lightened and the rain poured down in torrents; indeed it was a fearful night. In the middle of the storm somebody knocked at the town gate, and the old King himself sent to open it. It was a princess who stood outside, but she was in a terrible state from the rain and the storm. The water streamed out of her hair and her clothes; it ran in at the top of her shoes and out at the heel, but she said that she was a real princess. Well we shall soon see if that is true, thought the old Queen, but she said nothing. She went into the bedroom, took all the bed clothes off and laid a pea on the bedstead: then she took twenty mattresses and piled them on top of the pea, and then twenty feather beds on top of the mattresses. This was where the princess was to sleep that night. In the morning they asked her how she slept. Oh terribly bad! said the princess. I have hardly closed my eyes the whole night! Heaven knows what was in the bed. I seemed to be lying upon some hard thing, and my whole body is black and blue this morning. It is terrible! They saw at once that she must be a real princess when she had felt the pea through twenty mattresses and twenty feather beds. Nobody but a real princess could have such a delicate skin. So the prince took her to be his wife, for now he was sure that he had found a real princess, and the pea was put into the Museum, where it may still be seen if no one has stolen it. Now this is a true story. 👉 ️@VIMRishtan

#Text #Topic 🗣 Reading (o'qish) mahoratingizni oshiring 📃 Topic: My Dream We all love to dream. In our childhood we had a lot of dreams and goals. They have changed much since then and have become more complicated and serious because our priorities have changed too. Now we realize that to make our dreams come true we have to be smart and successful and to work hard as well. My father always taught me to explore the world with inquisitive eyes and a curious mind, constantly seeking to learn more and more, to understand more. That’s why my ultimate dream is to travel around the world, learn foreign languages and hopefully move to a sunny and warm place some day. I’d like to explore new cultures, traditions, business and cuisine. Travelling can be an invaluable experience for me, it can broaden my knowledge and help me to make friends with people from other countries. I think that my dreams are not just dreams, they are quite real if I don’t give up and move towards their fulfillment. Our dreams are in our hands, I’m sure. I have another cherished dream which is more global, of course. I want to stop poverty on our Earth, to provide poor people with shelter and food, with proper education, clothes and water. I know that it’s not so easy. I want to support children and old people with essential things for life and health and I hope to stop their tears one day. 👉 @VIMRishtan

#Audiohikoya ♻️ Tinglang va so'zlarning talaffuziga e'tibor bering 🎧 Wild Animals (audio & text) Some animals are wild. They don't live in homes or cages. They live in jungles or on plains. The lion is the king of the beasts. He is very mighty. He roars loudly. The giraffe has a long neck. He eats leaves from the tallest trees. The elephant is very large. He has a trunk and two tusks. A tiger has stripes. Some bears are black, and some are brown. There are even white bears called polar bears. A kangaroo lives in Australia. That is the only place that you would find a kangaroo, except in a zoo. It might be frightening to run into a wolf or a fox. Monkeys run and play in the trees. In Canada, we don't see lions, tigers, giraffes or monkeys running wild. There are squirrels in my back yard. Sometimes, I see a raccoon or a chipmunk. In northern Ontario, you might see a moose or a bear. I have seen a deer in the forest. There are many wild animals. You can see wild animals if you go to the zoo. @VIMRishtan

🗣 Reading (o'qish) mahoratingizni oshiring 📶 Level: Beginner 📃 Topic: My Free Time Every person needs some free time, be it a kid or an adult. Most school children and employees usually rest at weekend. This is the best time for relaxing and doing what you like. Evenings of weekdays also offer some free time. When I get back from school, I eat something quick and do my homework. After that I’m free to meet up with friends, to play computer games or to draw, which is my hobby. Sometimes, I play volleyball or other active games with my friends at the school playground. In summertime I also like playing ping-pong and I’m rather good at it. Weekends are a bit different. My parents usually give me some pocket money each week. I try to spend them reasonably. During the week I pay for lunch at the school canteen. Sometimes I need to buy some stationery. At weekends I go out with my friends. Sometimes we go to the cinema, sometimes to the pizza place. However, my favourite pastime at weekends is bowling. I like this game. I think it is not only entertaining but also social. Bowling unites like-minded people and gives a chance to communicate with good friends, instead of sitting in front of the computer. I don’t mind computer games, but they can get addictive and certainly spending long hours in front of the screen is not healthy. It influences eyesight and brain activity. I keep in touch with some friends through social networks or chats, but I understand that real life communication is much better. Apart from seeing friends, I spend my free time with my family members and relatives, especially on special occasions. On birthdays, anniversaries, public holidays we have family gatherings at my grandma’s place. 👉 @VIMRishtan
