Context: On 15 February 1996, the Chinese wanted to launch their Long March 3 B rocket with the Intelsat 708 satellite. however, the launch failed, causing the rocket to crash into a nearby settlement, killing an unclear number of residents. In response, the Chinese government covered up the existence of the entire village. The village that used to border the launch center has disappeared, as if it never existed.
