The summit will take place on October 28 - 29 2026 in Moscow. The Russia - Africa Summit is a key event in Russian - African relations. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Association of Foreign Students invite international students at HSE University– St. Petersburg to take part in the intercultural contest “Russia Without Filters.” 🌍✨ The contest’s aim is to create an open creative platform for young people that fosters intercultural dialogue, strengthens an atmosphere of mutual respect, and shapes a modern image of Russia through creative work. 🤝🎨 The contest is held in three categories: 📸 Photoreportage 🎥 Video ✍️ Essay Submissions are accepted via email: aisrf@yandex.ru until 4 September 2026. From August 1st to 2nd, our international students traded city life for the forest on an unforgettable camping trip with the HSE Tour Club! 🏕️✨ The journey began in Shevelevo, where we set off on a 28 km hike over two days to the stunning Lake Gladyshevskoye. 🥾🌲 Under warm, sunny skies, we: - Mastered survival skills: setting up tents, making campfires, and cooking over open flames 🔥⛺ - Foraged for wild blackberries along the trail 🍇 - Gathered around the fire in the evening, sharing life stories, singing songs, and creating memories that will last a lifetime! 🎶🌟 This wasn't just a simple camping trip - it was a chance to connect with nature, challenge ourselves, and bond as a community. 🌍🤝 Huge thanks to all the students who joined us and to the HSE Tour Club for making this adventure possible! 🙌🌟

Our new adaptation project is about to start! We are looking for four curators for each of the dorms on Zaporozhskaya, Lensoveta, Shevchenco two English-speaking and two Russian-speaking students 🇬🇧 🇷🇺 The curators do a very important job: 💡 inform about the rules 💡 assist with adaptation 💡 organise events in the dorm 💡 communicate with the administration ⭐You will be awarded three credits for your participation in the project. Experience in participating in student clubs or organising events will be an advantage. If you are interested you can apply for the project here. After the selection process, you will receive all the necessary information. Application deadline: August 10th. Start: August 15th.

🌿 Nature is the best anti‑stress! Scientists have proven that time outdoors reduces stress levels. We decided not just to read about it, but to test it ourselves! Yesterday, 16 July, our international students took a walking trip to Lukomorye near St. Petersburg 🚶‍♂️🌍 They explored the eco‑trail and wandered through the Park of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg. HSE University graduate student Gisel Sarahi Vergara Herrera presented a cultural diplomacy project at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), held on June 3–6, 2026. Gisel Vergara, a graduate student in the Arts and Culture Management program, participated in SPIEF as an International Ambassador for the #WeAreTogether International Prize, a role she has held since 2021. 🎓🤝 At SPIEF’s Speed Speeches, Gisel spoke about her agency GALA, which operates in more than 10 countries and focuses on creative production and cross‑border cooperation.She emphasized culture’s role in building economic ties, noting the 135th anniversary of Mexico–Russia relations. 🇲🇽🇷🇺 Vergara credits her education at HSE with giving her the professional tools to present complex ideas effectively on a high‑level platform, and she aims to continue strengthening cultural exchange between Latin America and Russia. 🌎 Thank you, Gisel Vergara — it was a pleasure to have you as our student! 👏🎉

🇬🇧 30 June we organized a meeting of the International Office and foreign graduates. 🌍✨ The meeting was opened by Maria Kiseleva, Head of the International Office and Olga Gaidova, Director of International Student and Alumni Centre. The administration of the International Office commend graduates for choosing our university and their successes in education. Special recognition was given to the most active students. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ It was live dialogue! During the meeting, the graduates shared their feedback on studying at HSE University, commenting on the learning environment, the structure of the educational process and the opportunities HSE provided. 👨‍🎓👩‍🎓 The discussion concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere with an informal exchange of experiences among graduates followed by tea. We are proud of our graduates! ☕️

Today, 22 June, a flower‑laying ceremony dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow was held at the Monument to the People’s Militia of the Leninsky District. On this exact date 85 years ago, the Great Patriotic War began, claiming the lives of more than 26 million Soviet people. An international delegation of students and staff attended the memorable event on behalf of HSE University St. Petersburg, including representatives from the "Northern Raven" student sports club, the Centre for Support of Youth Projects, and the Centre for International Students and Alumni. We thank the organizers and participants of the ceremony and bow our heads in honor of the great heroic deed of the Soviet people.

On June 16th, with the support of the House of Nationalities in St Petersburg, an Info-seminar on Migration and Employment Issues for foreign citizens was held at Kantemirovskaya Street, 3A. HSE students had the opportunity to get answers to their questions, such as: 1. What documents do foreigners need?💼 2. What to do in case of loss?💁 3. How to protect your rights against an employer? 👮‍♀️ 4. How to find a job in St Petersburg? 🧑‍💻 5. The cases presented by attending students were discussed. 🏆 The questions were answered by Andrey Nikolaevich Yakimov — a lawyer, expert in migration law and work with foreign nationals, lead expert, and project coordinator at "PSP-Fund". We thank our speaker and all the attendees for their participation in the event! 👏
