Updates of historical highs often occur when least expected, or when conditions for the majority of market participants are most challenging psychologically.These are the two scenarios, which align with this idea: 1. Slow trend growth: https://www.tradingview.com/x/YpDm2Q27/ While traders will attempt to find technical and/or fundamental reasons for a reversal each time (in order to buy at a lower price), the trend will continue its growth up until the update of the historical maximum. Bitcoin might take it's time to get there, accumulate here and there and etc. However, until the trend reverses, it is logical to expect its continuation. 2. Increase in positive sentiment through impulsive growth: https://www.tradingview.com/x/wShu9hdL/ This scenario seems less likely to me, but it is also possible. Strong growth, an increase in positive and euphoric states of traders/investors - followed by a sharp decline (Selling Climax) and further growth until a new high is reached. This movement will allow smaller holders, whose funds will then pass into stronger hands, to be pushed out of the market.
In the market, any fact-based opinion has a place. It all depends on how well you manage your risks and keep a cool head.
