🌀 Parts of the Eye 👁 Human eye has two chambers: 1.  Aqueous humor (anterior chamber): a watery fluid that fills the front chamber of the eye- 💧 Maintains the shape of the eyeball. 2. Vitreous humor: a jelly-like (semi-solid) substance that fills the area behind the len - 💧 Also maintains the shape of the eyeball. 👁 Human eye has three layers: 1. Sclera: the tough and white part of the eye, opaque external covering of the eye.     🛡 Important to protect and maintain the shape of the eyeball. 2. Choroid: the middle pigmented layer of the eye.     💉 Rich in blood vessels that supply nutrients and oxygen to the cells of the retina. 3. Retina: the inner layer of the eye.     🌟 Contains special light-sensitive photoreceptors called rods and cones. 👁 Other parts of our eye: a,Cornea: transparent front part of the sclera, important to bend light rays toward the retina. b, Pupil: the hole in the center of the iris through which light enters the eye. c, Iris: the colored part of the eye.       - In dim light:          -  Circular muscles contract                -  Radial muscles rela   -  Pupil becomes very small (it constricts)      - In bright light:                -  Circular muscles relax                -  Radial muscles contract                -  Pupil is pulled open wide (it dilates). d,Lens: a flexible disc that helps focus light on the retina.    -  Held in place by suspensory ligaments and the ciliary muscles. e,Suspensory ligaments: elastic-like structures that suspend the lens and pull the lens into shape for focusing distant objects onto the retina. f, Ciliary muscles: eye muscles that automatically contract and change the shape of the lens by changing the tension of suspensory ligaments. g, Optic nerve: the bundle of nerve fibers that transport nerve impulses from the retina to the brain.
