Last week, Dimitra was in Rome for the FAO Global Conference on Smart Farming. Three days, 181 speakers, 19 sessions, over 400 people participated in-person, and more than 40,000 joined online. Jon walked through how trusted data, verified sustainability, and finance work together in Dimitra's three pillars, drawing on projects from Suriname, Mexico, Indonesia, and Kenya. Last week marked an important milestone for the Roraima Carbon Project as rural producers from across Roraima gathered for the project's first engagement event. The discussions focused on how preserved forests can support conservation goals, environmental stewardship, and long-term carbon initiatives across the region. Roraima, a key region for the Amazon, is changing the narrative and making a commitment to deforestation-free agriculture, and Dimitra is leading this change.

At Latin American Climate Summit 2026, Dimitra CEO Jon Trask joined Dr. Antonio Muñoz Santiago of Fundación Biosfera de Álica and members of the Sierra de Álica indigenous community. The handcrafted jaguar featured in the photo was created by community artisans and will be presented during today's summit session. The Sierra de Álica project combines native habitat conservation with long-term carbon project development, supporting environmental stewardship and community participation across the region.
