DIY Water Distiller (Higher Output Version) - Full Build and Demonstration

Full construction walk-through and experiment to demonstrate the higher efficiency of this style of homemade water distiller. I can distill about 40 ounces per hour with this condenser design. Total cost was about $60.00 for materials. Distilling water is a highly effective method for purifying the most dirty and contaminated water. It will also desalinate salt water and turn it into perfectly clean and safe drinking water.

In the winter, this does change a bit. Animals will move down to lower elevations, and they'll frequent south facing slopes. South facing slopes are warmer and usually collect less snow over the winter. Occasionally, they will even bed on these slopes, especially if they aren't steep and have stands it timber or brush on them. Some roads get really bad and aren't even passable, which opens up more space for them to roam. You can take advantage of this, using snow shoes or ATVs/snowmobiles if you have them. Sleds are an absolute godsend for game retrieval over snowy ground, regardless. I like to drill holes in the little lip at the top of the sled and hook bungee cords across the top. This keeps them snug as a bug. Some rubber runners on the bottom also help guide the sled quite well.
