✨ Turning Compassion into Action ✨
Today, Ethiopian Health Profession Students Association (EHPSA) – Bahir Dar officially handed over the 30,800 birr raised by our members to Zegba Children and Elders Support Organization, supporting them in preparing for the upcoming holiday with the essential items they need.
This moment was a reminder that service goes beyond intention — it’s about showing up and making impact where it truly matters. Through this contribution, elders and children under Zegba’s care will be able to celebrate the holiday with dignity, warmth, and joy. 🎄🤍
We are deeply grateful to every EHPSA member and volunteer whose generosity made this possible. Your willingness to give reflects the heart of EHPSA and the power of collective action.
As we move forward, may we continue to uplift our community and stand with those who need us most.
Lead by Example. Inspire with Action. ✨🌿

▎Why Preventable Cancer and Contagious Diseases Affect Our Community
Primarily due to:
📌Lack of awareness about these diseases.
📌Many individuals are not informed about the risk factors, symptoms, and available prevention and treatment options.
💥 Our Initiative to Create Awareness
In response to this critical issue, EHPSA-Arsi, in partnership with Asella Referral Teaching Hospital, Arsi University, organized and executed an awareness campaign at Asella Secondary and Preparatory School.
This initiative aimed to educate students, teachers, and representatives from the Asella Education Office about these pressing health concerns and to extend this education to their families.
💥 What Achieved
⚡️ A Student-led powerful presentation on breast and cervical cancer, covering risk factors, symptoms, screening, prevention, and treatment.
⚡️ Dr. Jemal Reshad delivered an eye-opening session on the Marburg virus, discussing its transmission, symptoms, high fatality rate, and the importance of early action.
⚡️ We highlighted the recent rise in cancer cases and promoted free screening services available at the Arsi University MCH Building.
⚡️ Every female participant received our breast self-examination mobile app, empowering them to perform self-screening at their convenience.
⚡️A Huge Thanks To:
• Dr. Jemal Reshad: Academic and service Corporate Director of college of Health Science
• Mr. Muktar Sano: Academic and service Corporate Vice Director of college of Health Scienc
• Meseret Gosa: EHPSA-Arsi President
• Abdisa Adem: EHPSA-Arsi Vice President
• Nuredin Ali: EHPSA-Arsi Secretary
• Public Health Directorate team
Early detection is crucial—lives can be saved through awareness and education.

✨Succeful EHPSA Hawassa Charity visit to Mary Joy Elderly Center✨
On Saturday, Oct 4, 38 EHPSA volunteers spent a beautiful serving day at Mary Joy.
🔹Washing the elderly’s legs
🔹Cleaning their rooms and compounds.
🔹Cared for the flowers 🌸, and brought life back to their garden 🌿.
Then came laughter😊, and a joyful coffee ceremony ☕ filled with stories, smiles, and blessings that touched every heart. Their Blessings reminded us why we serve.
Finally, Great thanks to #Volenteers_team and to all 38 Volunteer students, your energy made this day unforgettable. Also to Mary Joy Center for welcoming us with open heart.
✨🙏እናመሰግናለን🙏✨
