"The Akron police murdered Jayland Walker, and now they are trying to crush the protests with brute force. Since the demonstrations have begun the police have attacked people walking away from demonstrations, pointed rifles at the heads of activists, attacked people doing jail solidarity, tear gassed journalists and knowingly and intentionally knocked the father of Jacob Blake Sr. unconscious and put him in critical condition, and have beaten people in custody.
We are asking for international solidarity:
-Donating to the bail fund on CashApp ($AkronBailFund) or Venmo (@AkronBailFund)
-Following FreedomBloc and ServeThePeople for updates
-Holding solidarity demos in your area
-Actions to raise awareness for what is happening in Akron and letting those on the ground know they are supported
The people of Akron are under attack, and it is up to us to make sure the world knows!"

| 2 | Police in #Akron tonight assaulted and arrested Jacob Blake Sr., father of Jacob Blake, shot by police in 2020 in Kenosha. Mr Blake has been transported to a local hospital and is reportedly in critical condition. There are dozens of police vehicles and riot lines clearing people from gathering outside the hospital parking lot and threatening arrest of anyone remaining there awaiting news of his wellbeing.
