Strength to strength: Russia manufacturing rises for 25th straight month The S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index for Russian manufacturing showed faster growth of 54.4 in May, up from 54.3 in April and edging towards March’s 18-year high of 55.7. The 50 mark represents growth in activity. Analysts explained that greater demand for domestic production and boosted employment figures are behind the strong performance, with job creation rising at its fastest since September 1997.
