Do you often hear voices
Whispers,
screams?
Do they not stir chaos within you,
Do they not scorch your soul?
Do you not feel your dreams morphing into nightmares?
I wonder, she asks
And I pause, lost in a thought,
Yet silence eludes me;
My mind is a battlefield,
Fighting for something I cannot name.
But the screams, they are better than the whispers I respond,
For the screams are clear,
While the whispers elude my grasp
They are the murmurs my heart cannot accept,
The secrets my eyes cannot bear.
I don’t understand why they whisper.
My ears are not the ones listening,
So the meaning slips away.
My heart struggles to comprehend,
Yet the whispers grow louder,
Demanding I accept my fate,
The weight they carry.
And there I am,
Cradling my head amidst the chaos,
Trying to block out their words,
Trying to decipher their meaning.
Some fragments disturb me,
While others remain a puzzle,
A riddle I cannot solve.

The weight on my chest is excruciating. I can barely breathe. My body is as stiff as it could get, and my mind is in the gutters. I have the urge to yank my hair out and scream, or maybe not breathe at all. Tears are about to fall, but I hold it in......

Sometimes you need to sleep, sleep a lot. Not to escape, but to rest your soul from your feelings. Because everything, absolutely everything devours you. Completely.

to be seen without performing. to be heard without screaming. to be missed without disappearing. to be enough without proving it. to be held without falling apart. to be understood without explaining. to be wanted without conditions. to be. to be.

“Can I drag you through me, just to feel?
can’t I be allowed to need you, too?

I tend to put on a rough rope around my neck.
And I tend to overlook the shadows I should not embrace.
A weight rests heavily upon my chest; perhaps it’s
The emotions that constrict my heart, squeezing it tight.
Some days are sheer bliss.
A dreamlike isle of joy,
While others feel like torment, where my thoughts elude me, I just can't fully grasp them....... They are
Fleeting and tangled, like a child rummaging through a jar of sweets,
Carefree yet chaotic, I leap from one suffocating notion to the next.
In the end, I find that rope around my throat.
An inescapable truth I cannot conceal.
The power of my thoughts bears great consequence, a lifeline well ..
If they spiral too far, I may find myself gasping for the last breath.
