🎉 New Rotary Year. New Opportunities. New DEI Journey! 💙💛 We've officially started a new Rotary year, and before we dive into projects and service, let's get familiar with something you'll be hearing a lot about: DEI. And yes... we've seen a few puzzled faces wondering, "What does the DEI Director actually do?" 😂 You're not alone! DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 3 principles that help us build a club where everyone feels they belong. 🌍 Diversity means embracing our different backgrounds, identities, perspectives, and experiences. ⚖️ Equality is giving everyone, regardless of circumstance, the same access, and opportunities 🤝 Equity means recognizing that people have different needs and removing barriers so everyone has a fair opportunity to thrive. 💛 Inclusion implies improving the terms of participation in society, particularly for individuals who are  disadvantaged such as those with disabilities, and minority populations such as racialized people. DEI isn't just one director's responsibility. It's something every member helps create through everyday actions.
