🚨 DAY 28: 30 DAYS ETHICS ENRICHMENT SERIES
📚 Topic: Seven Social Sins by Gandhi
📖 Meaning:
The Seven Social Sins of Mahatma Gandhi are a set of ethical guidelines that Gandhi outlined to highlight the key moral principles he believed individuals and society should follow in order to promote truth, justice, and equality. These sins represent various societal flaws that can hinder moral development, social harmony, and the overall well-being of humanity.
These sins are:
1. Politics without Principle:
Gandhi believed that politics should not be divorced from ethical principles. Political leaders and institutions should uphold values such as honesty, justice, and integrity, and should not engage in corrupt practices or deceitful tactics for the sake of power.
2. Wealth without Work:
Gandhi opposed the accumulation of wealth through exploitation or without contributing to society. He believed that wealth must be earned through honest work and contribution to the welfare of society.
3. Commerce without Morality:
Gandhi argued that commerce should be conducted in a way that respects ethical principles, such as fairness and respect for human dignity. Business should not harm people, exploit workers, or degrade the environment.
4. Science without Humanity:
Gandhi believed that scientific advancement should not come at the cost of human welfare or moral values. Science and technology should be used to improve human lives, and not to harm or exploit people or the planet.
5. Knowledge without Character:
Gandhi emphasized that knowledge should be used to build good character and contribute positively to society. It is not enough to be knowledgeable or skilled; one must also have strong moral principles.
6. Pleasure without Conscience:
Gandhi argued that the pursuit of pleasure, indulgence, and enjoyment should not come at the expense of moral values. Actions should be guided by conscience and should not harm others or society.
7. Religion without Sacrifice:
Gandhi believed that true religion is not about rituals, dogmas, or superficial beliefs, but about sacrifice and service to others. Religion should inspire people to live with compassion, humility, and commitment to the common good.
💬 Key Quote:
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi
👉 Application:
1️⃣ Discuss Mahatma Gandhi's concept of seven sins. (2016)
2️⃣ In Case Studies, justify your action by citing Seven Social Sins.

Meanwhile, UPSC students stuck in the tiny rooms of ORN reading about the differences between Western coast and Eastern coast for years.

Repost from LIFE & UPSC with Shubham Ajmera
Hi everyone. A NOT so SHORT introduction about me.
For those who do not know or about me completely, last time I introduced myself was when we were a 3k members family, so i guess it’s overdue.
⭐️ I am Shubham Ajmera, and just like you all I was a UPSC aspirant (who failed and has exhausted all attempts). Post my UPSC journey i just started posting my notes, my struggle stories and some harsh realities on UPSC. In case you never saw my story etc Check this message out (A compilation of my story, tips etc: My Top 2 are: End of UPSC journey, A life of CSE failure- Click here to check)
⭐️ Further As we grew, we also started mentorship and various paid courses by god's grace in first year itself we had more than 13 rankers from mentorship (including rank 18). Not trying to show off but if I include my essay really kaise, PYQ logics and other short courses our rank list will go beyond 100. Majorly my courses till now were sold on Civil services compass.
⭐️ Lately i had joined Prayas AI, and as the company shut down I have started my own venture called Aspirants hub, So yes sorry for confusion but my Mentorship and flagship speciality courses like Newspaper Snippets, Mains Ready by december, Lakshay Mentorship, DAWP- Toppers copy, PYQs, CA made easy (famously known as 2 pager daily) are available on Aspirants hub (Including Optional courses with Rankers)
⭐️ And smaller courses like toppers copies compilation etc are still available on Civil services compass app. Regardless to be honest i do not know what future holds in store for me, I DO NOT KNOW till when I will continue with UPSC field as this still reminds me of my failure, but this was about more or less about me. Infact if you read my top 2 or other messages from my story: Like the one with T-Shirt- Click here to read, feel free to reach out to me on @sidiswel (I have been exactly where you are, and trust me the uncertainties passes)
Take care! Just wanted to give an Introduction!
Only 38% got it right! For those who are scared just see this! It’s a basic question from the most basic book! Yet hardly 40% people get such questions right!
All you require is to get this questions right, if you got this wrong, you need to rethink and get your basics right!
