How to make Takbîrât during these 10 best days? 1) Ibn Mas’ûd used to say: [Allâhu Akbar, Allâhu Akbar, La ilâha ill-Allâh, wAllâhu Akbar, Allâhu Akbar, wa-Lillâhil Hamd] 2) Salmân al-Fârisî used to say: [Allâhu Akbar, Allâhu Akbar, Allâhu Akbaru Kabîrâ] 3) Ibn ‘Abbâs used to say: [Allâhu Akbaru Kabîrâ, Allâhu Akbaru Kabîrâ, Allâhu Akbaru wa-Ajall, Allâhu Akbaru wa-Lillâhil Hamd]

Shaykh Ahmad al-Khalîl said: Takbîrât in the 10 [days] are in 2 categories: the general and the restricted. The general: It is Takbîr at all times, from the first of the 10 until the last day of Tashrîq (13th of Dhul-Hijjah) and it is legislated according to the majority of the Fuqahâ’ and Salaf. The restricted: It is Takbîr after the [obligatory] prayers, from the Fajr prayer on the day of ‘Arafah (9th of Dhul-Hijjah) until ‘Asr on the last day of Tashrîq (13th of Dhul-Hijjah). And it is legislated by the agreement of the Fuqahâ’. It’s proof: It was said to [Imâm] Ahmad, by which Hadîth do you go to that Takbîr [is done] after Salât al-Fajr on the day of ‘Arafah until ‘Asr on the last day of Tashrîq? He said: By the consensus from ‘Umar, Alî, ibn ‘Abbâs, and ibn Mas’ûd.

Shaykh Khâlid al-Hâyik حفظه الله said: Majmû’ Fatâwâ of Shaykh al-Islâm ibn Taymiyyah and Durar as-Saniyyah fil-Ajwibah an-Najdiyyah… Allâh has raised its light and status. How much they irritate the people of Bid’ah, the people of Shirk and the grave worshippers. So all praise and gratitude is for Allâh.

Ibn ‘Abbâs narrated that the Prophet ‎ﷺ said: No good deeds done on other days are more virtuous to those done on these [first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah]. They said: Not even Jihâd? He ‎ﷺ said: Not even Jihâd, except a man who goes out with his life and his wealth, then does not return with anything. [Sahîh al-Bukhârî]

Abû Dâwûd said that Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: I never answered a question except by the Hadîth of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ if I found a way to that, or from the Sahâbah, or from the Tâbi’în. If I found it from the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, I would never turn to [someone] else. But if I did not find it from the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, then the four rightly guided Khulafâ’. If I did not find it from the Khulafâ’, then from the greatest of the companions of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, and then the greatest of those [who are after them in virtue] from the companions of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ. If I did not find it [from them], then from the Tâbi’în and the followers of the Tâbi’în. A Hadîth never reached me from the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ about an action with a reward, except that I did it with hope of that reward, even if it was one time. [Al-Musawwadah]

The Prophet ‎ﷺ said: “Whoever has the ability and does not make a Sacrifice/Ud’hiyah, then he should not come close to our places of prayer.” [Narrated by al-Hâkim. It was rejected by Imâm Ahmad, and weakened by at-Tirmidhî, ad-Dâraqutnî, at-Tahâwî, ibn ‘Abdil-Barr, Khâlid al-Hâyik, Abû ‘Alî al-Hasanî, Abû ‘Abdillâh al-Hâshimî, Mustafâ al-‘Adawî and others]

The Hadîth: Whoever recites Sûratul-Qadr one time after his Wudû’, he is from the truthful, and whoever recites it two times, he is from the register of the martyrs, and whoever recites it three times, Allâh will gather him with the gathering of the Prophets. Narrated by ad-Daylamî and it was weakened by ad-Daylamî, as-Sakhâwî and others.

I asked Shaykh Abû ‘Abdillâh al-Hâshimî: Is it a condition to make up the fasts of Ramadân before fasting the 6 days of Shawwâl? He said: This is correct, that you start with making up [the fasts of Ramadân] first. I said: And [can we] fast the 6 days of any month, or only Shawwâl [to attain the reward]? He said: From Shawwâl till Dhul-Hijjah.

Imâm Ahmad ibn Hanbal رحمه الله said: The people need knowledge like bread and water, because knowledge is needed every hour and bread and water [is needed] once or twice a day. [At-Tabaqât]

Shaykh Sulaymân al-‘Alwân فك الله أسره said: The statement: Sadaq-Allâhul-‘Athîm after the reciter stops from the recitation [of the Qur’ân] has no basis and it is not legislated. Because the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم did not do it, nor did any of the Sahâbah, nor the Tâbi’în.
