📖 Reflection on the Ayahs of Qur’an لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (Surah Al-Hashr, 59:21) “Had We sent down this Qur’an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and shattered from the fear of Allah. Such are the parables We put forth for mankind so that they may reflect.” 🔍 Points to Ponder The Qur’an is so weighty in meaning that even a mighty mountain would crumble under it. If a lifeless mountain would humble itself, how much more should our hearts tremble before Allah’s words? This ayah teaches us the seriousness of revelation, it is not just to be read, but to transform us. Allah gives this parable so we never take the Qur’an lightly, and so reflection (tadabbur) becomes part of our worship 🌱 Action Point Before reciting, remind yourself: “I am about to read words that can move mountains.” Dedicate a few minutes daily to pause and reflect on one ayah, letting it soften your heart.
