Groundworks is an artist development programme for Singapore-based artists engaging with digital tools. Selected via public open call, the programme brings together five artists, facilitating mentorship and studio visits to strengthen each artist’s ability to develop ambitious digital works and articulate their practices. Presenting Groundworks is the culmination of this process, gathering new works that address central preoccupations for each artist—as first articulations of a new direction, or extensions of ongoing lines of inquiry. The programme is curated by Clara Peh, produced by Deanna Dzulkifli and Mary Ann Ng, presented by Common Protocol, supported by National Arts Council’s Arts x Tech Lab initiative. 20–28 June 2026 Arts x Tech Lab # 02-05, Aliwal Arts Centre, Singapore 199918 June 20, 3.30PM: Artist walkthrough, followed by opening reception June 27, 3PM: Artist panel Register for both events this link. Embracing the Flexibility and Meaning in Portfolio Careers💪🏼 If you're looking for a good read today, here’s one on portfolio careers and how they can offer more flexibility, creative autonomy, and space to build work around a diverse mix of skills and interests. It also touches on how combining roles or income streams can make work feel more adaptable and sustainable. For many working in the arts, this can feel quite familiar — where work is often already shaped across different projects, roles, and creative practices, even if it can feel uncertain at times. It’s a gentle reminder that building a non-linear path is its own form of entrepreneurship - one that is highly intentional, deeply meaningful, and a rewarding way to shape your own career. 🙌🏼 👇 Read the full feature here: https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/working-life/beyond-corporate-life-why-some-singaporeans-choose-portfolio-careers
