Why this type of facility is significant A nuclear weapons program generally has three main stages: 1. Uranium enrichment – producing highly enriched uranium (sites like Natanz or Fordow). 2. Core fabrication – shaping the fissile material into a bomb core. 3. Weaponization – designing and assembling the mechanisms that make the bomb detonate and fitting it onto a delivery system. The destroyed facility appears to have been involved primarily in stage 3 - weaponization. In simple terms: It was not about producing nuclear material, but about turning that material into a usable nuclear bomb.

The group is calling for Mojtaba Khamenei to step down and hold another vote in Thursday's session. According to the sources, the IRGC argues that due to the "special circumstances,” the selection of a new leader should be made as soon as possible, saying a delay could exacerbate instability and harm the regime’s survival.
