Let me hear in the morning of Your steadfast love, for in You I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul.
Psalm 143:8

Make me to know Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day long.
Psalm 25:4-5

Dear God, thank You for this day. Thank You for speaking truth over my life. There are so many voices trying to shape the way that I see myself, but I want to listen to You. Your word in Romans 8:1 says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” God, I’m so thankful for this promise and for how You see me. I’m not defined by my mistakes or by what others think. I’m defined by what You say. Thank You for telling me that I am loved, chosen, and forgiven. Anxiety, shame, and doubt sometimes try to come into my mind to tell me otherwise, but when this happens, help me fight back with Your truth. I want to live from a place of confidence in who I am in You, not fear or shame. Thank You for replacing lies with grace, and confusion with peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. -Psalm 145:18

Praise
Isaiah 61:3
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
The Bible tells us that there is a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. When we look at Biblical passages about praise, we see a link to singing praises to God.
Taken from The London Singing Institute: "The Science Behind Singing, What Happens When We Sing?" By Author: Stefan Joubert, we read:
There is a growing body of evidence drawing an undeniable link between singing and improved wellbeing. Singing is proven to release endorphins and oxytocin, which is known to stimulate feelings of trust and bonding while eliminating anxiety and depression. Singers have been observed to have lower levels of cortisol, indicating reduced stress levels.
How interesting, that from even a natural perspective, there is evidence that singing promotes well-being. How much more when we sing praises to our Maker! Our praises sung to Him, lift us out of the heaviness pit, and take us to a place of soaring on eagles wings. Praise to our Maker, indicates that we trust Him - that He's worthy of our praise because He cares for us, knows us, and helps us. Praise also indicates victory - especially when it reaches the level of a shout!
Psalm 47:1
Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
Psalm 47:5-7
God has gone up with a shout,
The Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth;
Sing praises with understanding.
There is victory in praise. There is elevation in praise. Praise stills the avenger.
Psalm 8:2
Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
So why does a spirit of heaviness come? Why does it come like an elephant trying to sit on us until we despair of life itself? It comes to silence praise. It comes to keep us from praising. It comes to bring us down low, so we will not overcome.
When we praise, heaviness is lifted. We have joy and gladness. Our face shines. We bubble up with gratitude from the inside.
How wonderful is our God, that He says there is a garment of praise. The garment indicates that we can put on praise. No matter how we are feeling, we can walk over to our spiritual closet, take a praise garment off its hanger, and put it on.
Maybe we start with a little hum....then a song starts to arise. We begin to break through the heavy, oppressive clouds. The praise garment starts to lift us higher...we start to sing louder...and victory arises on the inside. We are now no longer as we were. We are no longer downcast or despondant. No! We are victorious in our God! We start to shout the victory! The praises continue to lift us higher, as the songs come from our inner belly - our spirit. Rejoicing now overtakes fear and depression.❤️
The spirit of heaviness is overcome by a garment. A garment of praise that causes a song to arise from the inside of us that sends the enemy running in terror. What a beautiful weapon God has given to us to use!
Let's pray:
Thank You Father for giving us the garment of praise to overcome every depressive feeling, every anxiety, and every worry and care. You truly have given us all we need to walk in victory through this life. Thank You for loving us so much, and for giving us such a beautiful weapon to defeat the spirit of heaviness: Praise. We are grateful Father, in Jesus' name, amen.❤️

Repost from Filling Our Cups With Hope
I just want you to know:
God sees you.
He hasn’t turned His face from you.
He hears every quiet prayer, every deep sigh, every tear you don’t have words for.
You haven’t been forgotten.
You haven’t been skipped.
And this delay, It’s not a punishment. It’s preparation.
I know it’s hard—I’ve been there too. Watching others move ahead while you sit in silence, wondering when it’ll be your turn. But let me remind you: God’s timing is never off. Not once.
He’s not making you wait just to see how long you’ll hold on. He’s protecting you. Molding you. Building something sacred inside you.
Because what He has for you isn’t scraps—it’s a full table. The feast. The best.
He doesn’t give His children leftovers. He gives purpose. And purpose takes time.
So please—don’t settle. Don’t fold. Don’t trade your worth for something rushed and half-formed. You are the prize, not the afterthought. The right heart, the right season, the right door—God is working behind the scenes in ways you can’t yet see.
Your heart is in His hands. And His hands are good.
So in the waiting—grow.
In the quiet—listen.
In the stretch—trust.
Let Him fill what no one else can. Let Him hold you together while you’re still becoming. Because the wait isn’t just about what’s coming. It’s about who you’re becoming while you wait.
You’re not behind. You’re being refined.
You’re not alone. You’re being held.
You’re not forgotten. You’re deeply, intentionally loved.
And when it finally comes, you’ll see—it was worth every delay.☕️
