Migrant workers often face stressful and intimidating situations alone, from navigating appointments with authorities to collecting belongings from employers’ homes. HOME (Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics) is looking for volunteers to step in with empathy, presence, and support 💛
As a Befriender, you will accompany Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) from HOME’s shelter to important appointments, helping ensure they feel supported and less alone during difficult moments.
🕒 Appointments typically take 3–4 hours and are scheduled on an ad-hoc basis on weekdays.
HOME is looking for volunteers who are:
✨ Interested in migrant worker rights and welfare
✨ Preferably multilingual (Bahasa, Tagalog, Burmese, Hindi, or Tamil)
