Japan's PM Takaichi admitted she felt "relieved, but also a little lonely, or maybe sad" after cockroaches in the official residence were eliminated. She had endured sharing the allegedly haunted residence with them, unable to kill insects due to a childhood love of Tezuka's manga Phoenix. Staff eventually arranged poison bait without her consent. The residence has been rumored haunted since a PM was assassinated there in 1932. Takaichi says she has never seen ghosts. Just cockroaches. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2026/08/24/japan-pm-admits-feeling-lonely-during-long-work-hours/
