China has unveiled a plan for a crewed lunar landing by 2030 🚀 At a symposium on crewed spaceflight in Beijing, the mission architecture was presented: it begins with checkouts in Earth's orbit, followed by a flight to the Moon. The project will utilize the Long March 10 (Changzheng-10) rocket, the "Mengzhou" spacecraft, and the "Lanyue" lunar lander. The Tiangong space station will be used for docking maneuvers and testing key operations, while an uncrewed flight of the Lanyue lander will take place prior to the actual landing to gather data on the lunar surface. The mission to the Moon involves two separate launches of the Long March 10, each carrying different payloads, with a rendezvous taking place in lunar orbit. Two versions of the rocket will be employed: the Long March 10A for low-Earth orbit missions, and a three-stage variant equipped with boosters for lunar missions, capable of carrying a payload of up to 27 metric tons. Several critical tests have already been completed, including tethered tests of the lander, emergency system checks for the Mengzhou spacecraft (scheduled for June 2025), and a low-altitude launch demonstration of the Long March 10. The objective is to thoroughly refine the entire mission cycle without a crew on board, ensuring the safety of the astronauts. @futurism 🧬

🤖 An AI model that helps transfer human motion, recorded with LiberSense Glove, into robot skills. That’s LiberAI’s Liber-0: a World Action Model pretrained on 2.2M+ hours of human experience. The headline result: 36% overall success across 60 GPT-6-proposed tasks and 600 trials, without training on robot demos collected specifically for those tasks. Another proof point stood out: across eight tasks, 25% of the robot-demo pool plus the full glove pool achieved a progress score of 75.6, versus 72.8 with the full robot pool alone. The full pools contained equal numbers of demos. Fewer robot demos, supplemented by human demonstrations, and stronger observed performance. If human experience transfers this efficiently at greater scale, the data wall in robotics could start to crack. @futurism 🧬

🗣️ Geoffrey Hinton: AI is forcing us to rethink what human intelligence actually is.
“We’re not reasoning machines. We’re great big analogy machines.” “We basically accepted we were much less rational than we thought.” “This is an even bigger change that’s going to happen.” “Most people have thought that we reason using something like logic. We’re rational beings. We’re not.” “We’ve got a thin layer of reasoning on the top.” “But we basically use analogies to think.”

🤔A Wound That Heals in Just Hours? Scientists have created a skin-like hydrogel that could dramatically speed up wound healing. In testing, wounds closed by up to 90% within 4 hours and fully healed within 24 hours. The material keeps wounds moist, protects damaged tissue, and helps the body repair itself more efficiently. If future studies confirm these results in humans, it could transform treatment for cuts, burns, and chronic wounds. @futurism 🧬

⚠️Scientists are creating living building materials that can grow, absorb CO₂ and potentially repair their own cracks Researchers are developing a new generation of construction materials made with bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms. One project from ETH Zurich uses photosynthetic cyanobacteria embedded in a special hydrogel. The microorganisms absorb CO₂ using sunlight, produce biomass and gradually generate minerals that help strengthen the material. In experiments, the living material remained biologically active for more than 400 days. Another project, developed by researchers at Texas A&M University and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, combines cyanobacteria and fungi to create a synthetic lichen system. The goal is to produce minerals that can fill cracks in concrete, potentially allowing structures to repair themselves biologically. If these technologies can be scaled up, future buildings could require less conventional cement, capture carbon and need less maintenance. There is still a long way to go before living concrete becomes commercially practical, but the idea of buildings that can grow and repair themselves is no longer just science fiction. 🗣️ OpenAI’s Greg Brockman says "death becoming a choice" is possible, and predicts AI will make real strides on curing diseases in the next 12 to 18 months
“I think that you look at something like biology, and that’s not something that’s unique to just humans. I think that we all suffer, that the question of even just thinking about death becoming a choice. All of this is possible.” “Having cures for diseases is something that’s become also a trope in this field, but I think that you’re gonna see real delivery and real significant strides and impacts on biology, health, and curing of diseases over the next 12 months, 18 months.” “I think it’s gonna take time to really deliver on the full impacts, just by the nature of this field. But I think it’s all possible and doable, and it’s exactly the kind of thing we have these models that are solving these unsolved problems. Clearly, we need to apply it to biology and life sciences.”

🗣️ Elon Musk: It’s harder to scale AI on the ground than it is in space. You get five times more power from solar panels in space, and it’s actually much cheaper.
“My prediction is that by far the cheapest place to put AI will be space.” “In 36 months, but probably closer to 30 months, the most economically compelling place to put AI will be space.” “You don’t need any batteries, so it’s actually ten times cheaper.” “The cheapest and most scalable way to generate tokens is space. It’s not even close.” “Five years from now, we’ll be operating more AI in space every year than the cumulative total on Earth.”

⚠️Clone Robotics is no longer alone. Researchers at the University of Tokyo are exploring another path toward human-like robots: building artificial muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Using parametric design and 3D-printed flexible TPU structures, the team developed a full-scale musculoskeletal robotic leg. Different printed geometries reproduce different mechanical properties, allowing muscle-like, tendon-like, and ligament-like structures to work together. The robotic leg has demonstrated coordinated joint movements and alternating steps, although it still relies on external support. Most humanoid robots are built around motors, gearboxes, and rigid joints. Clone Robotics and this research point toward a different approach: recreating the musculoskeletal architecture of the human body. We are seeing the early stages of a new branch of humanoid robotics. @futurism 🧬

What if robots could learn new manipulation skills from human experience instead of relying heavily on robot-specific training data? 🤔 LiberAI’s Liber-0 is a World Action Model pretrained on 2.2M+ hours of human experience, combining human videos with precise hand movement data captured through specialized gloves. In zero-shot evaluations across 60 tasks and 600 trials, it achieved a 36% overall success rate, including 63.5% in pick-and-place, 34% in non-pick-and-place manipulation, and 10.5% in challenging multi-step manipulation tasks. By combining action grounding with human-like robot embodiment, Liber-0 aims to bridge the gap between human demonstrations and robot execution while reducing the need for task-specific robot data. Its results highlight how better action supervision, diverse human demonstrations, and scalable training could help robots acquire and generalize manipulation skills more efficiently. @futurism 🧬

🔥SpaceX’s Raptor 3 is taking rocket engineering to an entirely different level. Compared with the legendary RS-25, Raptor 3 delivers 34% more thrust while weighing 57% less, giving it over 3× the thrust-to-weight ratio To put it simply, SpaceX built an engine that’s smaller, weighs less than half as much, and yet packs even more thrust than NASA’s much larger RS-25. It’s really hard to comprehend how much engineering went into achieving this And what’s even more impressive is that SpaceX achieved all of this with a radically simplified engine designed for mass production and rapid reuse This is the engineering revolution powering Starship @futurism 🧬

🗣️Elon Musk: By 2031, AI will be smarter than all humans combined with up to a billion humanoid robots in the world.
“I think digital intelligence will exceed the sum of all human intelligence.” “There might be at least 100 million humanoid robots, but maybe a billion.” “I would predict that the economy is probably twice its current size in five, maybe six years.” “You’re going to hit a doubling period where economic output is increasing so fast.” “Plus or minus a few years, we’ll see giant changes.”

🇺🇸 After selling his COMPANY to PayPal for $800 million, Bryan Johnson has devoted a portion of his fortune to slowing down his AGING. His program includes more than 100 supplements and pills per day, an extremely STRICT diet, and PERMANENT medical MONITORING. He even went so far as to receive blood plasma from his 17-year-old son as part of a family experiment. But after several transfusions, he ACKNOWLEDGED having noticed no benefits and abandoned this method. Johnson claims in particular to have the heart capacity of a 37-year-old man and the lung capacity of an 18-year-old youth. @futurism 🧬
