ساختار مودبانه Do you think you could در انگلیسی . ساختار بالا یکی از ساختارهای خیلی مودبانه و رسمی برای درخواست نمودن از فردی برای انجام و اجرای یک خواسته است. البته از عبارت Do you think تنها پرسیدن نظر فرد هم استفاده میشه. . دقت داشته باشید که زیاد رسمی و مودبانه بودن، چه در فارسی و چه در انگلیسی ممکنه به عنوان کنایه برداشت بشه!!! . مثال:👇🏻 Do you think you could pass me my bag? فکر میکنی بشه کیف منو بدی بیاد /میشه کیف منو بدی بیاد . Do you think you could fax this paper for me? فکر میکنی میشه این کاغذ رو برای من فکس کنی . Do you think you could make a little less noise? میشه کمتر سر و صدا کنید؟ . Do you think you could knock out Mori in just 3 minutes? فکر میکنی بشه توی 3 دقیقه موری رو از پا در بیاری؟ . Do you think you could help me with my exams ? فكرميكني ميتوني در مورد آزمونم كمكم كني؟ . 🌹تفاوت few و a few: وجه مشترک هر دو اینه که بعد از هر دو باید اسم جمع قابل شمارش بیاد مثل: few people few books few letters a few people a few books تفاوت مهم این دو در اینه که a few به مقادیری بیشتر از few اشاره داره و به علاوه تم مثبتی داره در قیاس با few که تم منفی به جمله میده برای مثال: E.g. 1: Fortunately, our financial situation is good: we still have a few good customers. E.g. 2: I'm very sad: I have few good friends. به عنوان یه قاعده سر انگشتی few یعنی "تقریباً هیچی" که همون لحن منفی رو نشون میده. بعضی اوقات به جای few میشه از very few هم استفاده کرد. E.g. 3: I'm very sad: I have very few good friends. @eft1397 هر دو جمله 2 و 3 به این معنی هستن که من دوستای خوب زیادی ندارم، ای کاش دوستای خوب بیشتری داشتم. یه تفاوت مهم دیگه این 2 تا به شکل comparative و superlative هاشون مربوط میشه. به این صورت که: few ⇒ fewer ⇒ the fewest a few ⇒ more ⇒ the most @eft1397

So there are two meanings to the word rip-off that I want to look at today. The first situation where I would use the word rip-off is to describe something that I think is way too expensive. Today I went to buy some things for my kids for school because they are starting school again in a couple of weeks and I thought that the pens were really, really cheap, but I thought the pencils were a rip-off. So you could buy 60 pens for $8, but you could only buy 10 pencils for $8. So I thought that seemed like a rip-off. The second meaning to the word rip-off I wanted to look at is to describe something that is a fake, or a copy, or a cheap imitation. Maybe you really, really like Calvin Klein jeans and you find them very expensive. There's a good chance you could buy fake Calvin Klein jeans. You could buy jeans that are a rip-off. @eft1397
