Tough Nights, Tougher Job
The last two night shifts have been some of the hardest I’ve had in a while. I’ve seen and done so much in just a short time. I’ve treated many patients with serious conditions. We did surgeries on people with bowel perforations and bowel obstructions. I had trauma cases from car accidents—some with brain injuries, kidney damage, and lung injuries. I treated a patient who fell from the 4th floor and another who had a knife stab wound.
There were also people with abdominal pain, acute appendicitis, constipation, urinary retention, kidney stones, acute cholecystitis and other conditions that needed urgent care. Some came in barely holding on.
One of the hardest moments was doing CPR (cardiac resuscitation) on a patient who was dying. We tried everything, but sometimes it’s not enough. I watched life slip away right in front of my eyes. It’s heartbreaking, but I have to keep going—for the next patient, the next emergency.
These nights were long, painful, and intense. But this is the path I chose. And even on the hardest nights, I remember why.

I had the great opportunity to take part in a conference with famous pediatric surgeons and professors. It was an inspiring and educational experience where I gained valuable knowledge and practical insights. The discussions and recommendations shared by experienced colleagues will definitely help guide me in my future surgical career. Grateful for the chance to learn and grow alongside such dedicated professionals.

If I had to choose one place in Tashkent that truly feels like mine, it’s the National Library. Not just for the books or the peaceful vibe — but for the view. From up there, you can see the city in a way that makes everything feel calm, even when life gets overwhelming.
I’ve spent countless hours there from morning till night — with friends, with people close to me, or just by myself, buried in USMLE prep books. That place saw my stress, my focus, my quiet victories. It became more than just a library — it was my little corner of peace, motivation, and good memories.🌆

Running isn’t just about physical strength; it’s a journey of self-discipline, resilience, and mental growth. Every step you take is a reminder that you’re pushing beyond your limits and becoming stronger, not only in body but in mind too. 🏃♂️💪
In every run, we face moments of doubt, when the finish line seems far away or the pace feels too much. But it’s in those moments that we grow. It’s about showing up, even when you don’t feel like it. It’s about progress, not perfection.

I recently met Bobur bro, with whom I used to study for the USMLE steps at the National Library. Those were some of the most memorable and meaningful moments of my student life. I’m truly happy for him — he successfully matched into a psychiatry residency program in the state of Minnesota.
