11 whole years to make this! This was neither the best snakes we hatched nor the most expensive, they are pretty valuable still just not as crazy as they were a decade ago, but this was the most hard work put into. First of all this project started with a VPI axanthic breed to a clown, we grew the babies and breed them back few years later hoping to get axanthic clown on 2016 which would have been real cutting edge. Unfortunately I missed the odds (it’s a 6.25% per egg odd) I have had many breeding season after that and kept missing the odds (over 120 eggs). In between I had a few opportunities to buy a VPI axanthic het clown or a visual VPI Axanthic clown to increase the odds. I refused to give in and was stubborn to produce one from the original blood line which i believed was a good example. Finally after 11 years we hatched these right on our 13 year anniversary of ARP Constrictors date! I have been told I am extremely stubborn when I am set in my ways and sometimes it’s a good thing ❤️
