In my opinion, the craziest thing about AKP being so controversial is that we don’t even say or do anything that controversial. But maybe I’m just out of touch.

If we remain passive and leave it up to those “on the in” of the gun industry, people like us will always be ignored, silenced, and blacklisted. The only way we will ascend and acquire power and influence is if we go out and take it. No more waiting for someone to do it for us. Don’t be a silent majority. Make sure they can’t ignore us. They must pick a side of the fence. They should be apprehensive about NOT taking our side.

So many business owners and social influencers in the gun space that behind closed doors will agree with everything I say about political, social, and cultural issues, but wouldn’t be caught dead wearing AKP patches or apparel. Not even a sticker on their ice chests. Not even a follow back on social media. Because of the implication that they might actually agree with me. I don’t expect everybody to get on their company social media accounts and announce their hot takes on mass immigration every day, but the effort and actions some will take to disavow and disassociate from AKP is hurtful and deeply concerning. Being even remotely associated with AKP, or even friendly towards AKP, is apparently brand suicide in the gun industry. We are black sheep. We are outcasts, unclean, casteless, untouchables. If this industry is so dominated by the rightwing, why are so many afraid to speak their minds, or be associated with people who say what they actually believe? Cowards and grifters everywhere.
