Now a number of my students are sitting ICAO exams. Some of the exams contain the task- picture description.(The requirements for ICAO exams are the same everywhere but there are some peculiarities depending on the country where a person does this exam). By the way, picture discription activity appeals to me when we drill new vocabulary. Let's consider such description.

The phrase storm is brewing is an idiomatic expression that means that there is going to be a storm. It may also mean that there is going to be trouble or emotional upset in the near future. E.g. We need to depart as soon as possible because a storm is brewing south of the airport.

Performance is a term used to describe the ability of an aircraft to accomplish certain things that make it useful for certain purposes. For example, the ability of an aircraft to land and take off in a very short distance is an important factor to the pilot who operates in and out of short, unimproved airfields.

Some information for those who book the time for the lessons with me. Somebody might think that I have a whale of free time and I can deliver lessons when students want. Alas.No! My schedule is tightly packed from 9a.m till 6p.m. daily and it is quite hard (sometimes- next to impossible) to squeeze somebody in. Those who book the time but then text me "Can we shift the lesson for tomorrow?", I won't work with. It means that I rejected some students for this time slot and kept this time for you. From now on I will deal with new students only with prepay. If you cancel the lesson less than 24 hours before it, the payment is not refundable. It is not an entertainment for me, it is my job. Let's treat each other with respect.
