I’ve seen a lot of posts like this during the period when USD/JPY was rising aggressively. At MCL, we maintained our conviction that the move would eventually mean-revert, because we believed political and economic intervention would ultimately take place in favor of the Japanese government. The BOJ and Japan’s Ministry of Finance repeatedly signaled that they wanted USD/JPY to decline. At the time, very few people seemed to care. We did. Today, we see a similar situation developing with U.S. Treasury yields. Our view is that U.S. authorities will eventually step in to stabilize the Treasury market, whether sooner or later. The current move may look extreme, but markets can eventually respond to policy, economic incentives, and intervention. At MCL, we don’t only follow the price. We watch the forces behind it. 📊

If the Treasury continues to increase the scale of buybacks, this could provide an additional supportive catalyst for gold, particularly if we see further easing in yields. From a technical perspective, we currently see a strong market structure combined with a favorable fundamental catalyst. Therefore, we are maintaining a strong bullish bias on gold and expect upward momentum to continue into the end of the day, ahead of the upcoming CPI release. 🎯 Targets: • 1st Target: $4,500 • 2nd Target: $4,600 We will continue to monitor Treasury yields, the USD, and price action closely. If the macro conditions change, we will adjust our exposure accordingly. Strong catalyst + strong structure = bullish gold bias.
