Israeli settlers attacked today evening Palestinian residents in the east of the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, and attempted to steal a flock of sheep in the Far'a area, east of the town.
Resident Muhammad al-Azazmeh said that a group of settlers who had seized land in the area and established an outpost there tried to steal 150 sheep belonging to Mithqal Abu Hamid, but residents resisted them. Al-Azazmeh added that the settlers are using all means, including force, to displace them from the area.
For the past two years, settlers have prevented Palestinians from working their land and have confiscated the Far'a spring, the only water source in the area. They have also constructed several roads connecting the hills in preparation for seizing the land and expanding new settlement outposts.
In addition to these attacks, settlers continue to harass and arrest Palestinian residents and farmers, confiscating their vehicles and agricultural tractors.
