12/07/24 (Renewed) Daily Verse🙇🙇 “Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.” Colossians 3:10 (NLT) Thoughts On Today's Verse👌 Paul starts this passage with writing, “But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.” What a list. And how many times have we tried to do this? The only way we can successfully get rid of these negative characteristics is to change ourselves from the inside. We need to get rid of our old sinful nature. But that’s like trying to get rid of darkness. It doesn’t work. Instead you need to turn on the light! Paul knew this and writes that we are to put on our new nature and be renewed. But how? How does this happen? He writes, “As you learn to know your Creator and become like Him.” God has put in us the capacity to know Him. His Holy Spirit inside us guides us and as we attune ourself with Him, as we meditate on His word, as we spend time in His presence, the renewing of our mind takes place. We literally become renewed, a new mind that comes from knowing Him. Today, spend time with God. Get to know Him, experience His presence and His immense love for you. As you do, you will experience yourself becoming renewed. Prayer 🙏 Father, I want to know You more. I want to experience Your presence more. I want to be renewed more and more so I can be like You. AMEN

10/07/24 (Get Right With God) Daily Verse 🙇🙇‍♀️ “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. Matthew 3:22-23 (NLT) Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 Are you right with God? This is a serious question and yet most of us don’t spend much time thinking about it. Somewhere along the line we have developed our own theory of how to be right with God. It usually involves doing some good, at least more good than we think we have done bad. But the Bible tells of a different plan. It talks of a God that loves us and has made a way that we can be forgiven. It shares how receiving Christ as our personal Savior will bring us into a right standing with Him. Through putting our faith in the sacrifice of God’s Son, Jesus, we become God’s child and are born again into His family. This brings us into a whole new relationship with God and we are made right with Him. Today, you can have this relationship. Accept Christ as your own Savior, ask Him to forgive your sins and make you His child. Put your faith in Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross for you and you will have a right relationship with Him. Prayer 🙏 Father, I accept Christ’s death on the cross for me and ask You to forgive all my sins. I accept Christ as my Savior and put my faith in Him. Take my life and help me live it for You. AMEN

09/07/24 (Your High Calling) Daily Verse 🙇🙇‍♂️ “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.” Ephesians 5:1-2 (NLT) Thoughts On Today’s Verse👌 We search for purpose and significance. We strive to secure a meaningful job or vocation. But in reality, there is no higher calling on earth than being God’s child and imitating Him by living a life filled with love. This is the ultimate purpose that God has called each one of us to. Today, do what Paul says to do. Fill your day with the love of Christ and follow His example in everything you do. Prayer 🙏 Father, I thank You that You have made me Your child. I thank You that You have given me the most important job on earth, which is to live a life filled with love. I admit I can’t do this without You. I need Your Holy Spirit to help me live a life of love today. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

08/07/24 (Holy Spirit In Me) Daily Verse🙇🙇‍♂️ “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil,’ which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires.” Galatians 5:16 – 17 Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 The fight between good and evil can really get old. This is especially true when we are talking about our own behavior. Which of us has not experienced the struggle between the Holy Spirit inside us and what Paul calls our “sinful nature”? Paul points out the difference in outcomes between both. He writes, “When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” The point is clear. Paul says that we need to let the Holy Spirit guide our life if we want to see the Spiritual results that our heart really desires. Today, yield to the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to assist you in everything you do. Focus on the fruit of the Holy Spirit and watch it grow. Prayer 🙏 Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit that is alive in my heart. I confess my struggle with my sinful nature and ask that the fruit that comes from fellowship with the Holy Spirit will grow in my life. AMEN

05/07/24 (Live A Life Of Love) Daily Verse🙇🙇‍♀️ “Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.” Ephesians 5:2 (NLT) Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 We spend so much of our life looking for a cause to believe in. Something that we can excel in by using our gifts and passions. Something that will give our life significance. And yet, as we search for that certain mission, the answer lays right before us. Paul writes, “Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.” What better cause is there? What could give us so many options and allow us to use our own giftedness and passion? What could possibly give more significance to our life than loving the way Christ did? There are so many people that need love. There are so many people that your presence in their life would make all the difference in the world. Paul said it this way in I Corinthians 13. “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” Today, ask God to help you love those that He leads you to. Prayer 🙏 Father, help me live a life filled with love. Thank You for Jesus who loves me so much. Might I follow His example in loving others. AMEN

04/07/24(Learn To Live Before You Die) Daily Verse 🙇🙇‍♀️ “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.” Philippians 1:21 (NLT) Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 We often hear this verse quoted at funerals. And yet I have to ask, “How often do we think of the first part of this verse?” Paul wanted us to know that Heaven awaits us, but he never intended to diminish the importance of “living means living for Christ.” Do we live as if that part of the verse is true? If Paul reviewed what we did yesterday or looked at today’s schedule – if he walked around our home, talked to our family or those we work with, would he be able to say that “life” to us was “living for Christ?” We will all die. It is very important to know our eternal destiny. Trusting in Christ as our Savior is indeed the only way to heaven. But please, God put us on this earth first in order that we would live for Him. Let’s learn to “live” for Christ before we die. Prayer 🙏 Dear Father, I know that Your death for me on Calvary took care of my eternal destiny. It’s not the dying that is troubling me right now, it is the living. Help me understand how You want to bless my life. Help me get my priorities right. I give to You my “today.” Please guide me in all I do. AMEN

03/07/24 (His Perfect Peace) Daily Verse🙇🙇‍♂️ “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” Isaiah 26:3 (NLT) Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 What do you think about? Where do you fix your thoughts? God expects us to consider what we think and judge it according to His word. Trouble comes into our life and we begin to fear. When it does we have a choice to make. Will we remain in fear? Will we let it escalate into panic? Or will we obey today’s passage and trust in God, fixing our thoughts on Him? When we do, He promises us peace. Not just any peace, His perfect peace. It is the same way with anger, jealously, doubt and a hundred other thoughts that come into our life everyday. Today, when negative thoughts come to your mind begin a new habit. Trade them in for peace. How? By giving the thoughts to God and then choose to trust in Him by fixing your thoughts on His love for you. Prayer 🙏 Father, help me trade my negative thinking for your perfect peace. Today, help me to fix all my thoughts on you. AMEN

02/07/24 (Heal My Inner Self) Daily Verse🙇🙇‍♂️ “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV) Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 We worship the God of the Universe. The cosmos and everything in it is under His control. But there is another universe that needs His rule as well. A universe that needs His power and His presence so greatly. It is our the universe of our inner world. The world where we store our core beliefs, our inner thoughts and our emotions. A world full of implicit memories reacting to the sensations around us, committing us to a path of action that often needs the touch of God. It is this world that so desperately needs Him. It is in our inner world that we need to ask, seek and knock for peace, joy and the filling of the Holy Spirit. It is in our inner world that we need the “peace that passes all understanding.” In her book, “The Healing Presence” Leanne Payne writes, “Personhood, identity, being itself come from Him as our hands and hearts are open to receive. Focused on Him, we climb up and out of the hell of self and self-consciousness. Listening to the words He speaks, we are freed from the words that emanate from our unhealed hearts, from the unhealed hearts of our fellow creatures, or from the powers of darkness: those that accuse and tempt us toward separation and death. In listening to the words that come from God, we become all we were created to be.—God the Father, who has the Power of Being, heals and affirms us. By fiat He spoke the worlds into existence, by fiat He can and does create in us a new and solid sense of being.” Today, ask God to do a work in your inner self. Seek, with all your heart, to be filled with His presence and peace. Knock upon the Father’s door, seeking His fellowship, His love. May His very presence flood you internally with a deep sense of purpose and eternal mission. Prayer 🙏 Father, You said that I can ask anything of You. You are the giver of good gifts and I come today asking that You would do a mighty work in my inner person. Guide me, save me, heal me, teach me, lead me. Help me today to become all that You created me to be. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrew 4:14-16 (NLT) Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 Sometimes you need a helping hand. You need someone who understands what you are going through and can help you navigate difficult times. Jesus is that intercessor. He is God with all the power and wisdom we need, yet because of His volunteer time spent on earth in human form, He knows exactly what we are going through. He knows all our limitations, frailty, emotions and how to work with them and live a victorious life. He can guide us down the same path of faith, strength, hope and love that He took. So let’s do what the author of Hebrews suggests. Let’s come boldly to our gracious God and ask Him for the help we need today. We will find Him gracious, compassionate and able to help us when we need it the most. Prayer 🙏 Dear Jesus, I come to You because You know all about me. You know my situation. You know my thoughts, my frustrations and my desires. You know my needs. I come to You because You are the Almighty God and can do all things. And yet with all Your Holiness, You are still endlessly compassionate toward me. You promised that if I come to You, You will help me when I need it the most. I come to You now. I give You this day with all of its challenges, struggles and complexities. Make me conscious of Your presence as You meet the deepest needs of my heart and life today. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

28/06/24 (Warm Your Heart) Daily Verse 🙇🙇‍♀️ “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:32 (NIV) Thoughts On Today’s Verse 👌 When was the last time you really experienced the presence of God? I mean more than just head knowledge but a time you really felt His presence? You see, we were meant to know God, not just know about Him. Isn’t that the way it should be with someone you love? Isn’t real love more than a “head” knowledge? Love was meant to be experienced, not just studied. It’s the same with God. Stop and close your eyes, focus on a time you really felt the presence of God. When you get that image, relive it again in your mind. Do you remember what it was like? Did your heart burn within you? Paul writes, “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” He says that knowing God’s love surpasses knowledge. If that doesn’t warm you up, what will? We were meant to experience God or as Paul says it, “be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” I pray that today you will be conscious of His presence and have a deep and meaningful relationship with Him. Prayer 🙏 Father, I long to know You in a more deep and intimate way. Guide me into Your presence. Reveal more of Yourself to me. I pray that I may really grasp all the love You have for me. In Jesus’ name. AMEN
