The triangle I showed you on Wednesday has broken to the downside.
It turned out to be quite simple. An ordinary contracting triangle linked two waves in the same direction.
I missed this trade because I saw 2 risks in it:
1) The overall correction in Gold has dragged on and could end with a sharp rally at any moment. Those two sudden jumps up looked to me like the start of a new impulse.
2) The second reason is even more pragmatic. If I had entered on the downside breakout of the triangle, the risk/reward would have been even worse than 1 to 1.

Gold has been consolidating for 3 weeks.
Do I love this market? No.
Am I familiar with it? Absolutely 😎
Looking at the charts, this happens several times every year.
The market deliberately gives this time so as many people as possible lose control over themselves — and then lose money on the way out of the correction.
What I know for sure is that after every correction comes an impulse. That’s why I’m optimistic ❤️
In my life, there has never been a correction that didn’t end. This one will end too.
While the market stands still, you have time to prepare: study the structure, know exactly where you will enter, and be ready before the move begins.
Most people join when the market is already active and they’ve missed the trade. They come in the middle of the move, chasing what they already missed.
Join before the trade, not during it.
The impulse will come 💯
The only question is whether you will be ready or just watching.

First, a clean five-wave impulse down.
Then the bounce. It looks like a simple A-B-C, but it didn't stop there. It's a double zigzag: W, X, Y.
Textbook Wave 2. Right at the 61.8% Fib retracement.
Which means Wave 3 is next, and it’s usually the strongest wave of all.

Friends, I’m not changing my view, because I trade the long term picture.
Back on October 3, I said wave C was close to completion.
After that, the market played games with traders, especially those using heavy leverage.
🔺A spike up, a spike down 🔻
High risk traders lost money on both sides.
I trade within the structure.
I showed you the big impulse up, the deep correction, and my expectation of new growth.
From October 7 to 12, we saw a 5 wave rally. Then came an ABC correction: deep, but it did not break the structure. That correction ended on October 14.
Current growth: I showed you in yesterday’s video analysis, and today our positions are already in profit.
Structure first, noise last.
That is how we stay on the right side of gold ❤️

As always, we start with the impulse.
Wave 3 unfolds in five sub-waves. Then waves 4 and 5.
Together they complete the 1st big impulse.
The sharp drop looks like wave A.
🔺 Wave B forms a triangle.
Then an equally sharp wave C down.
✌️ That’s wave 2.
Wave 2 holds above the start of the impulse, so no wave rules are broken.
In recent days, price bounced off a Fibonacci level and turned higher.

I see a clear 5-wave impulse to the upside.
Then comes an A, B, C correction, where wave C takes the shape of an ending diagonal.
A classic reversal pattern ❤️✅
Wait for a break above its upper line, marked with the yellow circle, before buying 🙌

The dollar finished a full 5 wave rally, and now a correction is underway. Wave A dropped sharply, and wave B is drifting higher inside a rising channel.
My trigger is a break of the lower channel boundary.
If that happens, I expect wave C to unfold down and complete the ABC.
Until the channel breaks, I let price come to me.

Gold is shaping the bottom of its 2nd wave correction, right around the 78.6% level.
The market has two ways to finish it.
Wave C may already be complete, or price takes one more dip to sweep the lows before turning.
Different route, same destination.
For me the bigger picture matters more than the exact candle. Over the past decade, buying gold on pullbacks has been the winning side, and selling it has not 🙌😎
I trade swing, so a few extra days of patience cost me nothing.
When the turn confirms, I will be ready to buy.
