YOUR HELP COMES FROM ABOVE Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV) says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” There are times in life when no one understands your pain. You cry, but no one hears you. You explain your situation, but people still don't care or can’t help. Even those who love you the most are sometimes powerless to change your condition. In those moments, only God can help you. In this Psalm, “mountains” represent strong places—people or institutions that seem powerful. Maybe you are sick, and the best hospitals cannot heal you. Maybe your heart is broken, and even the most experienced counselors cannot fix it. You may be searching for peace, love, or strength—but people keep disappointing you. The truth is, only God can truly help. You may be surrounded by family and friends, but still feel alone. They promise to help, but do nothing. Some even speak badly about you behind your back. You may have trusted a rich or powerful person, thinking they would lift you, but they ignored or despised you instead. David, the writer of this Psalm, faced such moments. But he chose to turn his eyes away from people and look up—to God. He said, “My help comes from the Lord.” That same God who created the heavens and the earth is the one watching over you. He never sleeps. He never takes a break. He knows your pain and He cares. He will not forget you. So, my friend, stop depending on people who change. Stop looking at the mountains, turn your eyes and look at the mountains mover. Trust in the God who never fails. Your help comes from Him only. Prayer: Lord, I lift my eyes to You alone. Be my help and my comfort always. -------------------- Author: Minister Lucas Kaaya Telegram: @Bibleverses https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

Matthew 4 — Jesus' Answers to the Devil's Temptations “Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve."’ Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.” (Matthew 4:10–11, NKJV) Matthew 4 takes us into the wilderness, where Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, confronts Satan face to face. It is significant that this battle takes place after His baptism and before the beginning of His public ministry. This teaches us that every great calling is often preceded by a season of testing. The wilderness is not a sign of God's abandonment; it is often the place where He prepares His servants. Satan attacks Jesus in three fundamental areas. The first temptation concerns the desires of the flesh: “Command that these stones become bread.” The enemy suggests using divine power to satisfy a legitimate need, but outside the Father's will. Jesus answers, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” True life does not depend on bread, money, or success, but on the living Word of God. A believer filled with the Holy Spirit is not led by the urgency of the flesh but by obedience to the Spirit. The second temptation targets spiritual pride. Satan even quotes Scripture, urging Jesus to throw Himself down from the pinnacle of the temple. The devil knows the Bible, but he twists it to promote presumption. Jesus replies, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’” Genuine faith does not test God; it trusts Him without demanding spectacular signs. The third temptation is the seduction of power and compromise. Satan offers all the kingdoms of the world in exchange for one act of worship. It is the shortcut without the cross. But Jesus declares with authority, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” No success is worth the price of compromising with sin. In every temptation, Jesus does not argue with the devil, reason with him, or rely on human logic. He always answers with the words, “It is written.” The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. When the heart is filled with Scripture, the enemy's lies lose their power. At the end of the battle, the devil leaves, and angels come to minister to Jesus. This is a powerful encouragement: temptation does not last forever. Those who remain faithful will experience God's intervention. After the battle comes refreshment; after the wilderness comes ministry; after the trial comes victory. Today, the Lord is looking for believers who know how to answer the enemy's temptations not with emotions, but with the Word; not with compromise, but with holiness; not with fear, but with the power of the Holy Spirit. When Christ reigns in your heart, Satan is forced to retreat. Never forget: the devil speaks to make you doubt God's Word, but the Holy Spirit speaks to remind you of it. Fill your heart with Scripture, walk in the Spirit, and like Jesus, you will come out of the wilderness clothed in the power of God. https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

Matthew 3:7 — Repentance That Bears Fruit “But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, ‘Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?’” (Matthew 3:7, NKJV) John the Baptist was not interested in numbers—he was interested in truth. Many Pharisees and Sadducees came to him, respected religious leaders who knew the Scriptures well. Yet the Holy Spirit revealed to John that behind their outward appearance there was no genuine repentance. The expression “brood of vipers” is striking. The viper symbolizes deception, poison, and a corrupt nature. John was not denying their value as people; he was exposing a form of religion that concealed hearts far from God. A person may attend worship services, know the Bible, and maintain a respectable reputation, yet still be spiritually dead. The Greek word for repentance is metanoia (μετάνοια), meaning a change of mind, heart, and direction of life. True repentance is not merely an emotional experience or spoken words—it is a transformation produced by the Holy Spirit. That is why, in the very next verse, John declares, “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.” The Lord is still looking for men and women who do not wear a spiritual mask but who live in genuine fellowship with Him. The Holy Spirit continues to expose hypocrisy, pride, and false security so that we may return to Christ with all our hearts. Before revival, there is always repentance. Before power, there is always sanctification. God does not anoint those who merely know the truth, but those who allow the truth to transform them. Let us examine our hearts. Does our faith produce the fruit of the Spirit? Is our character becoming more like Christ every day? Or have we become satisfied with outward religion while neglecting inward transformation? The Lord desires a Church that is pure, humble, and filled with the Holy Spirit. When a heart bows before God in sincere repentance, His grace raises it up with power. Repentance becomes the doorway through which a new season of blessing, holiness, and revival enters the believer's life. https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

Jeremiah 8:19 — The Cry of a People Far from God “Listen! The voice, the cry of the daughter of my people from a far country: ‘Is not the LORD in Zion? Is not her King in her?’ ‘Why have they provoked Me to anger with their carved images—with foreign idols?’” (Jeremiah 8:19, NKJV) Jeremiah hears a cry rising from a wounded, exiled, and desperate people. It is the cry of those who feel abandoned and ask, “Where is God?” Yet the Lord answers with an even deeper question: “Why have you replaced Me with idols?” This is one of humanity's greatest spiritual tragedies: longing for God's presence while allowing the heart to be occupied by other masters. The problem was not that God had abandoned Israel; Israel had distanced itself from His presence through idolatry and rebellion. Sin had created a separation that no human effort could bridge. The same can happen today. Many believers go through seasons of spiritual dryness and wonder why they no longer hear the Lord's voice, why the joy of salvation has faded, or why the power of the Holy Spirit seems absent. Before questioning God's silence, we must allow the Holy Spirit to search our hearts. Modern idols still exist: pride, materialism, self-reliance, ambition, compromise with sin, or anything that takes the place that belongs to Christ alone. In genuine Pentecostal revival, the fire of the Holy Spirit does not fall upon divided hearts. The altar must first be cleansed. When every idol is torn down and the heart returns fully to the Lord, fellowship is restored, God's presence becomes real again, and His anointing flows with fresh power. The people's question was, “Is the LORD no longer among us?” God's question was, “Why have you chosen other gods?” The answer to our spiritual emptiness is not to seek new experiences, but to return wholeheartedly to the One who has never stopped calling us to repentance. God is still looking for men and women who will destroy every idol, consecrate themselves completely to Him, and become living temples of the Holy Spirit. Wherever there is genuine repentance, the Lord restores His presence, renews His joy, and kindles the fire of heaven once again. Prayer Lord, search my heart. Reveal every hidden idol that hinders Your presence in my life. Cleanse me through the blood of Jesus, fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit, and let You alone reign as King over my heart. I desire to walk daily in Your presence and in the power of Your anointing. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen. https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

EXAMINE YOUR WAYS (YOU CAN'T ESCAPE GOD'S JUDGMENT) Proverbs 19:5 (NKJV) says, “A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies will not escape.” This verse clearly tells us that no matter how people try to hide their wrong actions or cover their evil ways with lies, God sees everything. Some people think they can sin and escape punishment. They live as if there is no God who judges, but that is a big mistake. David once said in Psalm 139:7-8, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.” This shows us that God is everywhere. You cannot hide from Him, even if you go to the deepest pit. God is a righteous Judge. He rewards good and punishes evil. Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” This means your actions—good or bad—will bring results. You cannot plant bad seeds and expect good fruits. An example is King Saul. He disobeyed God, thinking he could offer sacrifices his own way. But God rejected him as king (1 Samuel 15). Saul thought he could twist God's word and still be blessed, but he lost everything. His story warns us to fear God and obey Him. Even though God punishes sin, His grace is still full and free. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” So if you have done wrong, don’t hide—repent. God is merciful. God also values every person. He does not allow the rich or powerful to oppress others without judgment. He sees everything and will act in His time. Trust Him to bring justice. Prayer: Lord, help me walk in truth and always do what pleases You. Amen. -------------------- Author: Minister Lucas Kaaya Telegram: @Bibleverses https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

HUMBLE YOURSELF “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time.” — 1 Peter 5:6 To humble yourself means to willingly submit to God's authority, trust His wisdom, and acknowledge that He knows what is best for your life. Humility is not thinking that you have no value. It is recognizing that everything you have and everything you are comes from God. Peter also reminds us that God Himself will exalt those who humble themselves, but it will happen at His appointed time. We do not need to promote ourselves or seek recognition from people. When we remain faithful and humble before God, He will lift us up in the right season. There are many dangers in life that can be avoided when we take the right precautions. For example, a person can avoid unnecessary debt by living within their means. Likewise, many health problems can be prevented by eating wisely and exercising regularly. The same principle applies to our spiritual lives. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Pride is one of the greatest dangers to every believer. It causes people to trust themselves more than God. It makes them believe they know everything and need no correction. Pride blinds people to their own weaknesses and eventually leads them into destruction. God gives us the solution: humble yourself before Him. Humility begins when we recognize how much we need God every day. We may be educated, but God's wisdom is far greater than ours. We may have strength, but our strength is limited while God's power has no limits. We may receive honor from people, but compared to the King of kings, we are completely dependent upon His mercy and grace. This does not mean you have no value. On the contrary, you are precious because God created you in His image and Jesus gave His life for you. Your value comes from your Creator, not from your achievements, wealth, education, or position. When you remain humble, you give God the honor He deserves. You stop trying to become the center of your own life and allow Christ to take His rightful place. Humility keeps your heart teachable, your spirit peaceful, and your faith strong. Do not seek to exalt yourself. Let God promote you in His perfect time. Trust His plan, obey His Word, and remain faithful. God's timing is always better than human ambition. Today, choose humility over pride. Respect God, depend on Him completely, and remember that every blessing in your life comes from His loving hand. Those who humble themselves before God will never be disappointed. Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach me true humility, keep me from pride, and exalt me according to Your perfect will. ---------------------- Author: Minister Lucas Kaaya Telegram: @Bibleverses https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

YOU MUST OVERCOME FEAR The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV), "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This verse reminds us that fear does not come from God. Fear is a tool the enemy uses to stop you from stepping into the life God has designed for you. But God has given you power, love, and a sound mind to overcome fear and fulfill your purpose. You were not created to fail. You were created to win, to succeed, and to make an impact. God made you a conqueror through Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit, who lives in you, is your helper. He strengthens you when you feel weak and gives you the ability to move forward when you feel stuck. You must have faith in what God has made you and what He has given you—a strong spirit. Inside you, there is strength beyond what you can see. The challenge you are facing today is not bigger than you. You have the capacity, the wisdom, and the ability to overcome every obstacle. Nothing is too hard for you because God is working with you. That idea you have? You can make it happen. That dream in your heart? You can build it. Don't be afraid to start that business. Don't be afraid to apply for that job. Don't be afraid to begin again. Start investing now. Start building your dream house now. Start registering your company now. Now is the time to move. Fear is a liar, but God's word is truth. You have the Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. God is with you, and He loves you. He is standing by you to prosper you, to lift you up, and to see you succeed. You are not alone. You have been fully equipped by heaven to win. No more waiting. No more fear. You must overcome fear because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world! Prayer: Lord, strengthen me today. I refuse fear. I move forward boldly in Jesus Name. Amen -------------------- Author: Minister Lucas Kaaya Telegram: @Bibleverses https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

Woe to Those Who Call Evil Good "Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as if with a cart rope... Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness..." (Isaiah 5:18–20, NKJV) The prophet Isaiah describes a society that had lost its sense of sin. The people were not merely falling into sin—they were deliberately dragging it along, as though pulling a heavy cart with ropes. Sin that is embraced, justified, and defended eventually becomes a form of bondage. The most alarming reality was that the people had reversed God's standards. What God called evil was celebrated as good, and what He declared good was rejected as evil. This is one of the most dangerous conditions of the human heart: when the conscience can no longer distinguish between light and darkness. We are living in a time when truth is often redefined and God's standards are openly challenged. Yet the Holy Spirit still convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. As Spirit-filled believers, we are called not to conform to the spirit of this age but to stand firmly on the unchanging Word of God, even when it means standing alone. The Lord is looking for men and women who will boldly call sin what it is and holiness what it is—not with a spirit of condemnation, but with love, humility, and unwavering faithfulness. The fire of the Holy Spirit purifies the heart, renews the mind, and gives spiritual discernment so that we will not be deceived by the spirit of this world. Take time today to examine your heart before the Lord. Are there areas where you have been excusing what God is calling you to surrender? Today is the day to break every chain of sin and walk in the light of Christ. Where His light shines, deception is exposed, truth sets people free, and holiness produces a life that brings glory to God. https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

SEARCH ME, O GOD “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” — Psalm 139:23–24 Psalm 139 ends with one of the most sincere prayers in the Bible. David does not ask God to search other people; he asks God to search him. He invites God to examine every part of his heart, thoughts, attitudes, and motives. David understands that God already knows everything about him, but he desires God to reveal anything hidden that could separate him from His presence. He asks God to expose every sinful, harmful, or offensive way in his life and then lead him in the everlasting way, the path of righteousness, peace, and eternal life. This prayer teaches us that true spiritual growth begins when we allow God to examine us honestly and change us completely. Today, let me ask you an important question: Does Jesus have access to your whole heart? Does He have permission to guide everything you think, say, and do? As your Savior, Jesus wants every part of your life. However, many of us keep certain areas hidden from Him. We build walls around our pain, fears, disappointments, bad habits, and secret sins. We develop ways of protecting ourselves, believing that hiding these things will keep us safe. But the truth is that these hidden places are where we need Jesus the most. The wounds we refuse to surrender often become the source of our greatest . Hidden sin grows stronger when it remains unconfessed. Jesus does not want to expose these things to condemn you. He wants to heal you and set you free. The answer to your pain is not running away from God but drawing closer to Him. Tell Him, "Lord, here is my whole heart. I surrender my thoughts, my emotions, my fears, my failures, and my dreams. I do not want to hide anything from You." This is true intimacy with God. It is allowing Him to search every corner of your heart and trusting Him enough to change what needs changing. His goal is not to shame you but to transform you into the person He created you to be. When Jesus has complete access to your heart, He replaces fear with peace, bitterness with forgiveness, guilt with grace, and hopelessness with hope. He leads you on the everlasting way, where you experience His love, joy, and freedom. Today, invite God to search your heart. Do not be afraid of what He reveals. Every area you surrender becomes an opportunity for healing. Trust His love, accept His correction, and follow His guidance. The more you open your heart to Jesus, the more you will experience the freedom only He can give. Prayer: Lord Jesus, search my heart, remove every sinful way, and lead me into Your everlasting path of life ---------------------- Author: Minister Lucas Kaaya Telegram: @Bibleverses https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

HE UNDERSTANDS “He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God.” — Hebrews 2:17 The Son of God became fully human so He could experience life as we do. He felt hunger, thirst, tiredness, pain, sorrow, rejection, temptation, and grief. Although He never sinned, He lived in this broken world and experienced its hardships. Because He became like us in every way, He is now our merciful and faithful High Priest. He does not judge us from a distance. Instead, He understands our struggles and represents us before God with compassion. Jesus knows exactly what we go through, and He is always ready to help those who trust Him. There are days when you may feel that no one truly understands your situation. Your family may not understand your struggles. Your friends may not know the burdens you carry. People may see your smile while your heart is full of pain. Sometimes you may even wonder whether anyone really cares. But there is One who understands you perfectly, and His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus is fully God. He knows every hidden thought, every silent prayer, and every tear you have cried. Nothing about your life is hidden from Him. He sees the beginning and the end. He knows why you are facing your present challenges, and He has the power to change every situation according to His perfect will. Jesus is also fully man. He knows what it feels like to be tired after a long day. He understands emotional pain because He was rejected by His own people. He knows what betrayal feels like because Judas betrayed Him. He understands loneliness because His disciples left Him during His suffering. He knows sorrow because He wept at the tomb of Lazarus. He understands fear and deep anguish because He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane before going to the cross. Because Jesus understands both your heart and your circumstances, you never have to suffer alone. You can bring every burden to Him in prayer. He listens with love and responds with mercy. Even when people misunderstand you, Jesus never does. Do not lose hope because others fail to understand you. Trust the One who knows you better than you know yourself. He understands your weakness, your fears, your dreams, and your pain. He will give you wisdom, comfort, strength, and peace to overcome every challenge. Today, place your confidence in Jesus. Rest in His love, depend on His strength, and remember that your Savior completely understands you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for understanding my heart; strengthen, comfort, and guide me through every challenge today. ---------------------- Author: Minister Lucas Kaaya Telegram: @Bibleverses https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com

STOP SHIFTING BLAME, ADMIT AND REPENT “When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long.” — Psalm 32:3 (NLT) David speaks from personal experience in this verse. After he sinned, he tried to hide his wrongdoing instead of confessing it to God. He discovered that unconfessed sin brings pain, guilt, and spiritual weakness. His heart was troubled, his joy disappeared, and even his body suffered. This verse teaches us that hiding sin never brings peace. Only confession, repentance, and God's forgiveness can restore us. God does not ask us to confess our sins because He wants to punish us. He calls us to confess because He loves us and wants to heal us. When we admit our failures before Him, He forgives us, restores us, and gives us a new beginning. One of the greatest human weaknesses is the habit of shifting blame. Instead of admitting our mistakes, we often look for someone else to accuse. This problem began in the Garden of Eden. After Adam sinned, he told God, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate" (Genesis 3:12). Adam blamed Eve, and even suggested that God was responsible for giving him the woman. Instead of taking responsibility, he looked for excuses. Many people still live this way today. They say, "I behave like this because my parents failed me." Others say, "People hurt me, so I have every right to hurt others." Some blame their friends, their childhood, or difficult circumstances. Although people may truly hurt us, blaming them does not heal us. It only keeps us trapped in bitterness and sin. God is calling you today to stop making excuses. He is not exposing your sins to shame you. He is exposing them so He can set you free. Jesus came to break the power of sin, not to condemn you. When you confess your sins and turn to Him, He forgives you completely and begins to heal your heart. Real freedom begins when you stop pointing fingers and start looking at yourself honestly. Ask God to reveal areas where you need to change. Do not allow pride to stop you from admitting your mistakes. Humility opens the door for God's mercy and transformation. Today, choose responsibility instead of excuses. Choose repentance instead of blame. Choose forgiveness instead of bitterness. God is ready to restore you, but you must first be willing to confess your sins. Stop shifting blame, surrender your life to Christ, and experience the peace and freedom that only He can give. Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me confess my sins, reject excuses, embrace repentance, and walk daily in Your freedom. ---------------------- Author: Minister Lucas Kaaya Telegram: @Bibleverses https://bibleverses3.wordpress.com
