Viimeisen puolen vuoden aikana olemme käyneet runsaasti keskusteluja korkeakoulun kanssa siitä, että AS tarvitsee kipeästi uuden kiltahuoneen – nykyinen tila on yksinkertaisesti liian pieni. Korkeakoulu on ollut asiassa ymmärtäväinen ja pyrkinyt löytää tähän ratkaisua. Valitettavasti TUASilta ei tällä hetkellä löydy sopivaa tilaa, joten vaikka halua auttamiseen on, koulu ei pysty tarjoamaan meille uutta kiltahuonetta lähitulevaisuudessa. Ainoa keino parantaa ASkin tilannetta tällä hetkellä on siirtää VAKO muihin koulun tiloihin, mikä vapauttaisi lisää tilaa keittiölle. Lisäksi pienessä työryhmässä keskusteltiin, että ASkin kaksi vessaa saattavat olla tarpeettomia, ja ehdotamme toisen poistamista, jotta tila laajenisi entisestään. Oheisesta kuvasta näet uuden layoutin, ja alempana on kysely, johon toivomme kaikkien vastaavan – näin saamme paremman käsityksen siitä, mitä kiltalaiset itse haluavat. Tässä korkeakoulun puolesta on ehto, että mikäli he sponssaavat tämän niin tämän kanssa on elettävä muutama vuosi ennen kuin voidaan uudestaan nostaa aihe keskustelu pöydälle. The university has been understanding of the issue and has been trying to find a solution. Unfortunately, there is currently no suitable space available at TUAS, so even though the willingness to help is there, the university is unable to provide us with a new guild room in the near future. The only way to improve AS’s situation at the moment is to relocate VAKO to other university facilities, which would free up more space for the kitchen. Additionally, a small working group discussed that AS having two restrooms might be unnecessary, and we propose removing one of them to further expand the available space. The attached image shows the new layout, and below is a poll we encourage everyone to respond to – this way, we can better understand what the guild members want. The university has also set a condition that if they sponsor this change, we will need to live with it for a few years before we can bring up the topic for discussion again.
