Repost from Faisal Hassan
Yesterday, I delivered a lesson on legal rulings and terminology.
This tends to be a confusing chapter with common pitfalls in both categorisation and understanding revelation. I address some of these in this lesson, and I hope you find it useful! 🙏♥️

Extremely common phenomenon in the later centuries up to our time, so much so that most praise should be ignored unless you are confident the person giving the praise is:
1) qualified to make the judgment he is passing
2) not known to pass out praise like candy

For the imams reading this, you are worth more. Far more. £350 is a 2-3 days’ salary at a typical 9-5 job. Even in the early days, one day’s wage was a dinar, which is roughly equivalent to £120, which is more or less one day’s wage even today.
And imams are not average. You deserve better. The mosque committee is failing you. Not out of ignorance - each and every committee member is fully aware of the day rate and how they are playing you. Even the smallest mosque in a small town with a modest Muslim population will have over £100k stored away in the mosque’s bank account. And they’re paying you less than the legal minimum wage.
Imams, you are the cream of the community. Keep doing the great work you are doing. Let your employers figure out how they will answer Allah.

It’s a Tajwid lesson. The lesson is on the exceptions to Idgham in the letter ن. The question is what is going on in دنيا.
My man answers: Fitnah and Fasad.

It seems the success of the Syrians over Assad has put Dawahman (and Dawahman Inc) out of business.
What did Dawahman stand for?
- Blind allegiance to the ruler and the status quo
- Obsession with the UAE
- Materialism masquerading as religiosity
- Fake macho behaviour with the Badr Club
The Syrians showed two fingers to all and still came out on top.
Absolutely nobody with any self worth has time to indulge themselves with the get-rich-quick antics of Dawahman.
