- الرساله ؛ I completely agree Everyone has different lives, different experiences, different coping mechanisms. People who try to “save” others are doing basically nothing No one needs saving People need to be heard, not given solutions They already know what to do if there even is anything to be done It is a form of projection, but subconsciously projecting Its selfish you try to “save” another person by describing what YOU went through and how YOU overcame it The other person lived and continues to live in a different environment You can never know what the other person is going through fully no matter how much you think you relate

In reality, their own issues are only difficult because of their involvement of emotions and context that makes those circumstances nuanced and difficult to get over, or solve, this acknowledgment is simple, but most individuals seem to be unaware of it, and they will talk down on others for their inability to form a coherent decision. This saviour complex may sometimes bleed into a superiority complex and historically, a combination of those two has never worked out

It’s simply another form of avoidance, instead of facing your own problems, you begin to focus on other people’s problems. What I think the thought process is for these people, is that they view those people’s problems with through a lense of a spectator. When feelings and emotions are taken out from a situation, the situation seems less nuanced (unlike their own situations and problems which are filled with emotions and feelings) and they may feel the irresistible urge to fix those issues, because how dare other people not be as logical, as smart, and as efficient as them

Saviour complexes are shown as selfless, and if somewhat self deprecating. But really, it’s genuinely this ill placed sense of entitlement. On what basis do you have the right to feel this urge to solve other peoples life’s and problems, when you yourself have not fixed what’s wrong with yours?

Lowkey sometimes when I see people speaking about these topics, they unknowingly, subconsciously, start projecting their own experiences on what they’re yapping about—which may make their point seem unbiased, this is something that Im lowkey scared of which is why Im gonnna clarify im not projecting gang ✌️
