Someone commented: the way dean would literally never let sam die in the later szns, against his will. sam could literally never die as long as dean is alive just imagine how suffocating that is. and its EXACTLY the same way lucifer brings back sam whenever he dies. lucifer&dean both want sam so bad that his autonomy is non-existent to them, they basically consider sam theirs
