Sheikh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli hafidhahullah said:

By Allah’s guidance, I saw a Muslim village that had no water. The people had to walk five kilometers to the river just to bring drinking water, and they also had no masjid. I asked, “How much would it cost to build a well and a masjid?” They said, “Fourteen thousand Saudi riyals” at that time. When I returned, we collected the money from people and sent it to them. I also told them, “When you dig the well, let the neighbouring non-Muslim village drink from it too.” And that is exactly what happened. The masjid was built, and the well was dug. Then the chief of the village went to the chief of the neighbouring non-Muslim village and said, “We have dug a well, so you can come and take water from us.” They replied, “How is that?” He said, “Our brother from Madinah, who is united with us through Islam, built this well for us and told us to share it with you.” By Allah, my brothers, more than 300 people from that village accepted Islam because of kindness alone.
