Answer: The maximum overall drawdown is calculated based on $100,000. One of the rules for passing the Hash Hedge challenge is complying with the Overall Loss Limit (= max overall drawdown) on the account during the evaluation stage. 🔎 For a two-phase challenge, the overall loss limit depends on the stage: 10% in Phase #1, 8% in Phase #2, and 8% on the Funded account. Example for a $100K two-phase challenge (Phase #1): • Starting balance: $100,000 • You made 20% → Balance: $120,000 • Overall loss limit in Phase #1: 10% - calculated from the starting balance, i.e., from $100,000, not $120,000 • Breach threshold: $100,000 − 10% = $90,000 • Even with a balance of $120,000, the threshold does not change: if Equity (including open positions) drops to $90,000, the limit is considered breached. 💡 Takeaway: The threshold is fixed for each stage of the challenge - it does not change, even if you were previously in profit.
