Alpha Labs

We have talented developers. We have people increasingly using digital payments. We have businesses that need software. So why are we still mostly building software once, selling it to a company, and moving on? The problem might not be the software at all. I wrote about the digital financial infrastructure problem holding back Ethiopian software businesses. Read more here: https://alphalencho.substack.com/p/ethiopia-needs-payment-infrastructure

🏆 We've got a Leaderboard now on Crazy Card Game ! You can now see where you stand against the top 20 players. And here's the thing: you can't buy your way up. The board ranks you by how many rounds you've actually won. Coins only matter if two players are tied. So if you want to climb, there's only one way, play and win. Your wins also move you up through ranks named after the cards themselves. Everyone starts out as a Deuce, then it's Five, Seven, Jack, Queen, King, Ace... and if you hit 120 wins, you become the Crazy Eight :) play now: crazy.alphalabshq.com Join our group to share your rooms and find people to play with: @crazycardgamee

we just launched Crazy 🃏 The classic card game everyone already knows, now online. The 2 that stacks, the A♠ that ends friendships, the ቀረኝ someone always forgets to say. that exact game, in your browser Create a room, send the code, play with your people wherever they are. 2 to 4 players, any phone, any browser. Winner takes the pot in coins and deals the next round. Spectators can back a player and win too. and ofc the ቀረኝ button is there, forget it and you're picking up cards. 👉 Play now: https://crazy.alphalabshq.com/

i just made this game to play with my friends yesterday, then integrated payments to spice it up a little bit. now it’s getting some really good traction since its release, 107 rooms have been created, around 60 accounts have been registered, and 16k birr has been transacted. the system has made around 500 birr in commission. the game includes all the Habesha based rules we know and love. going forward, the plan is to remove the real-money part, since the Ethiopian National Lottery Administration prohibits this without the necessary legal authorization, and let people play with demo coins instead. once they run out, they can top up with real money. we all love playing these kinds of games with friends when we hang out or just have some spare time. that’s exactly why i built this. it’s a really fun and addictive game. enjoy 🥂 * https://crazy.alphalabshq.com/

Hey everyone 🤗 This is Haymanot Gebeyehu aka Merry If you’ve been around me for a while, you probably know me through the different things I’ve been involved in from working as a developer, managing projects, and leading different teams and communities. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on different projects, take leadership responsibilities, collaborate with different people, and learn a lot along the way. And recently, I’ve been becoming more intentional about the direction I want to take my career Tech Product Management, building products, and business. So I decided to create this channel to document that journey. I’ll be sharing what I am learning, what I am working on, the projects I am building, the decisions I make, the challenges I face, the things I get wrong, and the lessons I pick up along the way. This isn't going to be a channel where I pretend to have everything figured out. It’s simply me sharing the journey as I grow. If you’re interested in products, technology, business, leadership, or simply watching someone figure things out and build along the way you are welcome here 😊. @HaymiMerry

እንኳን አደረሳችሁ🥰

The black and white team is all set. Alpha Labs will be run by full AI agent employees, with one human as CEO. we’ll see how this goes👀

The One Who Started It All | Alpha Lencho Every great community begins with a vision. Ours began with Alpha. Alpha Lencho was the first Lead of ISHUB and the person who believed in the idea of bringing Information Systems students together. What started as a vision to connect students has grown into a community reaching across departments and across campus. But his story with ISHUB didn’t end when his leadership role did. He continues to support, encourage, and stand behind ISHUB to this day. That continued belief means more than words can express. We are deeply grateful for his vision, leadership, courage, and unwavering support. He didn’t just help build ISHUB—he helped give it a beginning. Thank you, Alpha, for believing when ISHUB was only an idea, for taking the first step, and for continuing to believe in what it can become. ❤️ ISHUB is bigger today because you believed in it first. CBE started giving loans? Haha I know this is not good info 😁

Give your agent real Chapa context when you integrate payments. I was wiring up chapa and had cursor turn the official chapa docs into an agent skill:

npx skills add Alpha-Mintamir/chapa-agent-skills

* skills .sh: https://skills.sh/Alpha-Mintamir/chapa-agent-skills * repo: https://github.com/Alpha-Mintamir/chapa-agent-skills

many of you have been asking why I don’t have car…here is the answer🤣

here we go

I’ll be doing a Cursor credit giveaway. grok bot will check my subscribers and randomly pick 5 people. It’ll DM the credit link directly to each winner... 1 gets $50, 1 gets $30, and 3 get $20 each. We’ll do it at 1 PM (7 LT)

Hey everyone, welocme to Alpha Labs🥰 I don’t think I’ve properly introduced myself here, so here we go. I’m Alpha Lencho, an Information Systems grad from AAU, class of 2025. I’ve been shifting my interests around for the past 3 years. I’ve been into networking stuff, ML/AI stuff, and a little bit of development. Right now, I’m mainly focused on entrepreneurship. I’m more interested in turning digital solutions into actual income(the potential is crazy👀) At this point, my goal isn’t to share technical stuff or my learning journey. I actually promised myself that I wouldn’t build any side projects or random projects that don’t generate income for me. So, I’ll mostly be sharing projects built under Alpha Labs and posting them here mainly for portfolio building. Other than entrepreneurship, or simply making money from digital products, I’m really into tech communities. I’ve been part of GDG AAU, co-founded @techinethio with some friends where we used to do some cool podcasts, and also founded @InformationSystemsHub, an NLP community, and a few other communities back in university. Now I’m working on what I think is one of the most vibrant tech communities in Ethiopia, Cursor community❤️‍🔥
