Victims were allegedly forced to perform TikTok dances, do star jumps and high knees, before being punched, whipped with a belt, shot with a BB gun and having hot wax poured onto their faces. Vangu also threatened to cut off victims’ dreadlocks if they failed to pay. >Judge Steven Evans said the pair had “tortured” and “humiliated” their victims, with Vangu showing a “complete absence of empathy” as he laughed while footage of the attacks was played during the trial. >Vangu was convicted of robbery, blackmail and assault, while Akinrinola was found guilty of multiple counts of robbery, blackmail and actual bodily harm.
