The only way out seems to be to halt the ceaseless extension of society’s power. I propose that you join me and a few other people to whom I am writing in an attempt to found an organization dedicated to stopping federal aid to scientific research. It would be a mistake, I think, to reject this suggestion out of hand on the basis of some vague dogma such as “knowledge is good or “science is the hope of man.” Sure, knowledge is good, but how high a price, in terms of freedom, are we going to pay for knowledge? You may be understandably reluctant to join an organization about which you know nothing, but you know as much about it as I do. It hasn’t been started yet. You would be one of the founding members. I claim to have no particular qualifications for trying to start such an organization, and I have no idea how to go about it, I am only making an attempt because no better qualified person has yet done so. I am simply trying to bring together a few highly intelligent and thoughtful people who would be willing to take over the task. Previous Page Click here to read beginning of transmission

When society acquires power over such a situation, generally a preponderance of the social forces look upon one or the other of the alternatives as Right. These social forces are then able to use the machinery of society to impose their choice universally; for example, they may mold children so successfully that none ever grows up to have puritanical attitudes toward sex, or they may use weather engineering to guarantee that the rain falls only at night. In this way there is a continual narrowing of the possibilities that exist in the world. The eventual result will be a world in which there is only one system of values. Previous Page Next Page

Let us try to summarize the role of technology in relation to freedom. The principal effect of technology is to increase the power of society collectively. Now, there is a more or less unlimited number of value judgments that lie before us: for example: - whether an individual should or should not have puritanical attitudes toward sex; - whether it is better to have rain fall at night or during the day. “With no significant political forces opposing the conversion of our world into a universal marketplace, the conflict of our time is the struggle to retain one’s humanity in an increasingly artificial world. That is the only battle that retains any genuine significance from a traditional perspective.”
- Julius Evola

"They said the past is wrong. They said invaders should have your land. They said its ok to embrace apathy. You are a victim of the technocracy, of an abuse named 'civility'. You have been robbed of a fulfilling earnest life."
- Mike Ma

There has been a consistent tendency, going back at least to the Industrial Revolution, for technology to strengthen the system at a high cost in individual freedom and local autonomy. Hence any change designed to protect freedom from technology would be contrary to a fundamental trend in the development of our society. Consequently, such a change either would be a transitory one - soon swamped by the tide of history - or, if large enough to be permanent, would alter the nature of our whole society.

Changes large enough to make a lasting difference in favor of freedom would not be initiated because it would be realized that they would gravely disrupt the system. So any attempts at reform would be too timid to be effective. Even if changes large enough to make a lasting difference were initiated, they would be retracted when their disruptive effects became apparent.

Thus, permanent changes in favor of freedom could be brought about only by persons prepared to accept radical, dangerous and unpredictable alteration of the entire system. In other words by revolutionaries, not reformers.
- Industrial Society and It's Future, Theodore Kacyznski

Town council meetings continue to increase in volatility as local residents begin to realize showing up and making their opposition to data center construction known is not enough to stop the technological system from steamrolling over them. One impressive speaker seen here in Kenilworth New Jersey - the proposed site of a 1.8 billion dollar, 400,000 sqr ft data center - goes so far as to shout down the police chief from arresting him! It is unfortunate to note that given the DHS' new 'Anti-Tech extremist' label, and their efforts to log and track anyone who criticizes AI and data centers, or even posts memes about or records data center locations - it is almost certain that this individual now has a federal case being built against him.

Have you decided which path to take?

When our ability to communicate and organize digitally is taken away, we will be forced to work with the in-person connections that we have. In case you havent woken up and smelt the coffee: now is the time to organize. Meet people in your area. Things are going to get crazier, but you wont always be able to handle the future on your own. Do what you can to ensure that the person you meet today is the person who will risk death for you tomorrow.

Attitudes about the growing disparity between human goals and the role of technology are actually so important that they are the main divide between aesthetic styles on the Internet.

As of the past two years, the Dead Internet Theory has been proven effectively true, as over half of internet traffic is caused by bot programs. Not only has this been caused by advances in artificial intelligence, but also by various online platforms making usage of their services increasingly difficult in the name of security and surveillance. Social media and the internet as we know it are ending. But with this comes the opportunity to reclaim the real world from the technological system.

would you be willing to take a chance and try something new?

The local planning commission and town board in Saline Township, Michigan voted to reject a $16 billion, 21-million-square-foot AI data center proposed by OpenAI and Oracle. Some time later, the developer SUED the town, which ultimately settled due to crippling legal costs. You read that right. Even when the town's own citizens voted no to a billion dollar AI data center project that would end up devestating the ecosystem around, they still lost because they could not afford a legal battle against the developers. This proves that the technological-system is only obedient to technical necessity, not human values or will. It is humans that have to adapt to fit the needs of the system, the system does not exist to satisfy the needs of humans. Anti-Tech Apostles

With all this in mind, it is safe to say that no country on earth comes remotely close to competing with the United State's data center industry by any metric. The US is leaning into an AI-dependent stock market, a ridiculous data center production industry, and unprecedented invasions of privacy via surveillance companies like Flock and Palantir not because it needs to "compete" with any other nation, but because not doing so will cause the entire advanced technological system in America to collapse in on itself. Again. We are hostages.

Even the US's generative capacity for data centers far exceeds any other nation on earth. And this is before projects such as Utah's ominous 'Operation Gigawatt' project have even come to fruition. Operation Gigawatt is a state-led project which seeks to double the state's generative capacity in 10 years by turning a slew of coal firing plants across the state into nuclear reactors to handle the electrical needs of the infamous Stratos Data Center.

'but what about the size and scale of Chinese data centers? they may not have as many, or be as economically successful, but surely Chinese citizens are more willing than Americans to permit the construction of large "hyperscale" data centers to make up for how many the US has?' Well you would be wrong again. China has 190 hyperscale data centers, we have 642.
