We are pleased to announce the release of VoltageOS 6.0 with the August 2026 security patch (android-17.0.0_r1). While this initial build is primarily a clean rebase on Android 17 with minimal ROM-side additions, it brings several useful platform features: • A native, system-level App Lock with biometric and PIN authentication. • Option to create Home Screen Folders from the Files app. • Native support for LHDC high-resolution Bluetooth audio codecs. • Improves background resource management, blur performance and battery efficiency under the hood. Project Infinity X 3.12 Aug Patch Thanks to @Chtulhu_Nyarlathotep for the server🔥

We are excited to announce that the source code of Voltage OS 6 is now publicly available for the community. After a period of internal development and preparation, we are continuing our open-source approach, allowing developers and enthusiasts to explore, build, contribute, and collaborate with the project. The upcoming Voltage OS release is based on Android 17 and includes the August security patch, bringing the latest improvements and updates to our users. We welcome developers, testers, and enthusiasts to explore the source code, try building the project, and help us improve Voltage OS by reporting bugs and sharing feedback. This marks an important step for Voltage OS as we continue to grow the project, expand community involvement, and build a stronger foundation for future releases. Stay tuned for more updates.

To make it easier for passionate developers to join the team, we have relaxed our application requirements. If you have been independently maintaining the ROM for your device for at least a month and have achieved stable builds, you are now fully eligible to apply for official maintainership. What we are looking for: • Developers who have maintained the ROM for at least one month. • Good knowledge of Git, AOSP building, and device tree management. • A commitment to providing regular updates and stable releases for your users.
