Investment Series- Day 2
1999 का Dot-com Bubble अपने चरम पर था। Internet से जुड़ी लगभग हर Company के Shares उड़ रहे थे। लोग रातों-रात करोड़पति बन रहे थे। उस समय Warren Buffett का मज़ाक उड़ाया जा रहा था। कहा गया कि "Buffett का ज़माना खत्म हो गया।"
लेकिन Buffett ने उन Companies में निवेश नहीं किया।
कारण?
उन्होंने एक बात कही थी...
"I don't have to know everything. I just have to know what I understand."
यही है Circle of Competence का Concept।
Market आपको हर दिन सैकड़ों Opportunities दिखाएगा। IPO, Small Cap, AI, Defence, Renewable Energy, Crypto...लेकिन सिर्फ़ इसलिए कि कोई Sector चल रहा है, इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि आपको उसमें पैसा लगाना ही है।
अधिकांश लोग Profit इसलिए नहीं खोते क्योंकि उन्होंने गलत Company चुनी...
वे इसलिए खोते हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने ऐसी Company चुनी जिसे वे समझते ही नहीं थे।
अगर आपको किसी Business का Revenue कहाँ से आता है, Profit कैसे बनता है, Competition कौन है और Risk क्या है यह नहीं पता, तो आप Investment नहीं कर रहे...
आप सिर्फ़ उम्मीद खरीद रहे हैं।
याद रखिए...
Market में "No" कहना भी एक Investment Decision है।
हर चलती हुई चीज़ पकड़ना ज़रूरी नहीं। कई बार सबसे बड़ा Return उस Trade से आता है जिसे आपने किया ही नहीं।

Day 1 | Mr. Market आपका Bussiness Partner है,Boss नहीं।
Benjamin Graham ने Investing की दुनिया को एक ऐसा Concept दिया जिसे अगर कोई Investor सच में समझ ले तो उसके आधे Decision अपने आप बेहतर हो जाते हैं।
उन्होंने एक काल्पनिक किरदार बनाया- Mr. Market.
सोचिए आपका एक Business Partner है। हर सुबह वह आपके दरवाज़े पर आता है और आपके Business की एक नई कीमत बताता है। कभी बिना किसी वजह के बहुत उत्साहित होकर कहता है, "आज मैं तुम्हारा हिस्सा बहुत महँगे दाम पर खरीदूँगा।" और अगले ही दिन डरकर वही हिस्सा बहुत सस्ते दाम पर बेचने को तैयार हो जाता है।
ध्यान दीजिए...
Business नहीं बदला। सिर्फ़ उसके Emotion बदले हैं।
यही रोज़ Stock Market में होता है।
Market आपको Information कम और Emotion ज़्यादा दिखाता है। Screen पर चलती हुई Price देखकर हमारा दिमाग़ मान लेता है कि Price ही Reality है। जबकि Reality Business के अंदर होती है, स्क्रीन पर नहीं।
यहीं से एक सफल Investor और एक सामान्य Investor के बीच का फर्क शुरू होता है।
सामान्य Investor, Market की कीमत देखकर अपना Opinion बनाता है।
सफल Investor, अपना Opinion बनाकर Market की कीमत का इस्तेमाल करता है।
याद रखिए...
Mr. Market आपको रोज़ Price देने आता है, Advice देने नहीं।
जिस दिन आपने Price को Information की तरह देखना शुरू कर दिया Confirmation की तरह नहीं...उसी दिन आपके Decision बदलने शुरू हो जाएँगे।
Investing का पहला Rule यही है- Market को Follow मत करो, Market को Use करो।

ट्रेडिंग में भी सफलता कोई नई चीज़ जोड़ने से नहीं आती। ज़्यादातर लोग नई स्ट्रैटेजी, नया इंडिकेटर और नया सीक्रेट ढूँढते रहते हैं, जबकि असली बदलाव तब शुरू होता है जब तुम एक-एक करके अपनी गलतियाँ हटाते हो- बिना प्लान एंट्री, ओवरट्रेडिंग, जल्दी प्रॉफिट बुक करना और नुकसान को पकड़कर बैठ जाना। सफल ट्रेडर वह नहीं जिसने सबसे ज़्यादा सीखा, बल्कि वह है जिसने सबसे ज़्यादा अनावश्यक चीज़ें छोड़ दीं। मार्केट में बढ़त ज्ञान जोड़ने से कम, शोर हटाने से ज़्यादा मिलती है।

नए ट्रेडर्स को अक्सर लगता है कि ट्रेडिंग रॉकेट साइंस है इसलिए उनका चार्ट किसी फाइटर जेट के कॉकपिट जैसा दिखना चाहिए जिसमें दर्जनों इंडिकेटर्स, रंग-बिरंगी लाइनें और अजीबोगरीब टूल्स हों। वे इस गलतफहमी में जीते हैं कि सिस्टम जितना Complex होगा पैसा उतना ही ज्यादा बनेगा लेकिन सच यह है कि जटिलता मुनाफे की नहीं बल्कि कन्फ्यूजन की निशानी है। जब आप स्क्रीन पर बहुत सारी चीजें लगा लेते हैं तो आप दरअसल Price को देखने के बजाय Noise को देख रहे होते हैं। जब एक इंडिकेटर खरीदने को कहता है और दूसरा बेचने को तो वह असमंजस (Analysis Paralysis) पैदा करता है। बाज़ार में पैसा कमाने के लिए आपको जीनियस होने की जरूरत नहीं है बल्कि चीजों को इतना सरल रखने की जरूरत है कि तनाव के माहौल में भी आप सही फैसला ले सकें।
अनुभवी ट्रेडर्स जानते हैं कि "Simple is Scalable." दुनिया के सबसे सफल ट्रेडर्स अक्सर Naked Charts पर सिर्फ सपोर्ट-रेसिस्टेंस और प्राइस एक्शन के दम पर काम करते हैं। सादगी का मतलब है Clarity। जब आपका सिस्टम सरल होता है तो गलतियां साफ दिखाई देती हैं और उन्हें सुधारना आसान होता है। एक जटिल सिस्टम तब तो अच्छा लग सकता है जब बाज़ार बंद हो लेकिन लाइव मार्केट के भारी दबाव में जब फैसला लेने के लिए कुछ सेकंड ही होते हैं तब जटिल नियम दिमाग को फ्रीज कर देते हैं। एक पुरानी कहावत है "अगर आप अपनी ट्रेडिंग स्ट्रैटेजी को एक 10 साल के बच्चे को नहीं समझा सकते तो आपकी स्ट्रैटेजी काम के लायक नहीं है।" याद रखिए बाज़ार आपको इस बात के नंबर नहीं देता कि आपका विश्लेषण कितना कठिन था वह सिर्फ इस बात का पैसा देता है कि आपका फैसला कितना सही था इसलिए अपने चार्ट को साफ़ कीजिए और दिमाग को शांत क्योंकि पैसा क्लिष्टता से नहीं स्पष्टता से बनता है।
