..........ዛሬ ጷግሜ አንድ ነዉ።ወቅቱ የአዲስ አመት መግቢያ እንደመሆኑ....... ሰዉ በለሊት ተነስቶ የጷግሜን ጠበል ከተጠበለ በኋላ አዲስ ተስፋን ሰንቆ በየፊናዉ በዓሉን ተደስቶ ለማክበር ይሯሯጣል። ገሚሱ ሰንጋተራ፤ ገሚሱ በግተራ የተቀረዉ ሰዉ ደግሞ ሾላ ገበያ ከትሟል። ታዲያ በእኛ ጊቢ ከግንቦት ልደታ ባልተናነሰ መልኩ ጷግሜ አንድ በደመቀ መልኩ ይከበራል። በተለምዶ አሮጌ ልደታ ተብሎ ይጠራል።ጎረቤት አንድ ላይ ተሰብስቦ በረንዳ ላይ ቡና ይፈላል።አናባበሮዉ እና ንፍሮዉ ይቀርባል። ጋሽ ተስፋዬ የሰባ አመት የእድሜ ባለፀጋ ናቸዉ።ባለቤታቸዉ ወይዘሮ ሸዋዬ የአንገታቸዉ ንቅሳት ከሩቅ የሚታይ ዉበታቸዉ የማይደበዝዝ ድርብብ ያሉ እመቤት ናቸዉ።  ቡናዉ ካከተመ በኋላ ጋሽ ተስፋዬ የያዙትን ስኒ ጠረጴዛ ላይ አስቀምጠዉ ከመቀመጫቸዉ ተነስተዉ ጋቢያቸዉን አስተካክለዉ ሊመርቁን ቆሙ። ሁላችንም እጃችንን አሜን ለማለት አመቻችተን ቆም ቆም አልን። "የጎመን ምንቸት ይዉጣ።የገንፎ ምንቸት ይግባ።" "አሜን..........." "ሀገራችንን ዳሯን እሳት መሐሏን ገነት ያድርግልን።በዳር ድንበር በጦርነት  ከቤት ንብረታቸዉ የተፈናቀሉትን ወደቤታቸዉ ያግባልን።ሀገራችንን ሰላም ያድርግልን።" "አሜን............." ለዛሬ መድረስ ያልቻሉትን፣በሞት ከእኛ የተለዩትን፤ ወዳጅ ዘመዶቻችንን  ነፍሳቸዉን ይማርልን። "አሜን............." ገበሬዉም ያረሰዉን የሚሰበስብበት የድካሙን ፍሬ የሚበላበት ያርግልን። "አሜን.........." ያላጨ የሚያጭበት፤ ያገባም የሚወልድበት፤ የወለደም የልጆቹን ወግ ማዕረግ የሚያይበት ዓመት ያድርግልን።" ለአዲሱ ዓመት በሰላም እንዳሁኑ ከቁጥሩ ሳያጎድል ያድርሰን።አይለየን!"
