#gram 🇦🇺 The Australian regulator eSafety today announced the start of legal proceedings against Telegram. Telegram faces a fine of up to 54.6 million Australian dollars — about $38m (3 billion rubles). There is currently no requirement to block the messenger in Australia.

According to the regulator, in September – October 2025, users complained to Telegram about 12 publications with terrorist materials, however 10 of them were not promptly removed.
