SALARY & BENEFITS
- Basic Pay: ₹82,485/month
- Approx. Total Emoluments: ₹1.14 lakh/month in metropolitan centres.

ELIGIBILITY
- Age: 21–30 years as on 1 October 2026.
- Generalist: Graduation/Post-Graduation in any stream with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Specialists have discipline-specific qualifications; generally 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
EXAM PATTERN
Phase I – Prelims
- English: 30 Q, 30 marks
- Reasoning: 35 Q, 35 marks
- Quant: 35 Q, 35 marks
- 100 marks | 60 minutes
Phase II – Mains
- Generalist: Reasoning, GA, Quant, English, Computer — 250 marks
- Specialist: Same 5 sections + 50-mark technical/professional section — 250 marks
- Objective test: 3 hours
- Descriptive English: 30 marks | 30 minutes
- Essay: 10
- Precis: 10
- Comprehension: 10
- Descriptive test is qualifying only and its marks are not counted for final selection.
- Negative marking: ¼ mark for every wrong answer
FINAL SELECTION
- Mains Objective : Interview = 80 : 20
- Descriptive English must be qualified.
- Final merit is based on Mains + Interview.
APPLICATION FEE
- SC/ST/PwBD: ₹250
- Others: ₹1,000
IMPORTANT SERVICE CONDITIONS
- Probation: 1 year, extendable by up to another 1 year.
- During probation, candidates must pass the Licentiate Examination conducted by the Insurance Institute of India.
- Selected candidates can be posted/transferred anywhere in India.
- Minimum stay at initial posting: 5 years.
- Specialists may be required to continue in their specialization for 10 years.
- 4-year service bond, including probation.
NOTE: Candidates can apply for only ONE discipline.
