Last year, as we reported, armed & masked PSNI paramilitaries removed a mural in Newtownards commemorating the Battle of the Somme, there were no complaints nor paramilitary connotations but it was a test to gage the community response. This year is going to present a further challenge both to the paramilitary police & the communities they target, certainly they’ll be meeting real resistance from their intended victims.
